We love the compostable trash bags. We were worried that they would be too thin, or tear easily - we certainly don't test the limits the way we would others, but we also don't NEED to do that. They work great, fit perfectly, have had zero issues.
I am reconsidering purchasing the compostable trash bags as they tear very easily. Not a pretty sight when I am taking the bags out to the garbage disposal and they tear while I am carrying it.
We love using these bags for our trash and other garbage items. They don't rip like other trash bags I've purchased from the grocery store and contain smells once tied. We love having them ordered on a subscription.

These are a little smaller than the conventional bags and you can't overstuff them but such an easy swap to make.
So excited to receive these compostable trash bags. I was so relieved to see that they were home compostable! I’ve backed up about 20 to 30 bags so far and I really really like them. The bright green and easy to read labeling makes me feel good when I go to the recycling/trash center. It’s exciting to think other people might see it and have the idea to also purchase some. I have noticed that if there is where in tear such as being jostled around in a large trailer, the bags may slightly get holes in them if there are items with sharp corners inside. Anything very sharp would likely rip these bags as they are not heavy duty. It would be cool to see heavier, duty bags, but I would not personally need to use them. It would be something I would recommend to my dad since he produces a lot of recycling/trash due to his job. Really love these bags will definitely be buying more. Also, the shipping was immaculate. No plastic whatsoever just the box. Thank you so much!

The bag tore as I was putting it in the trash bin, and it didn't get better from there. We don't have a lot of trash in a week, but this bag was not sturdy enough to hold our kitchen trash. It might be strong enough to hold a small amount of light material like paper.

I’ve been using these bags for about a year. They are definitely stronger than biobag brand kitchen bags, but still need to be changed out more frequently than traditional trash bags otherwise you get a huge mess in the garbage can when it gets pulled out. So I feel good about doing good for earth by using these, but wish they were stronger and cheaper since I go through them quicker.

I find I need to stretch the edges of the bag to fit over the opening of a standard 13-gal garbage can, so it would help if there were a little more "give" in the bag. Otherwise, happy with them overall
We love eliminating one more plastic item by using the compostable kitchen trash bags - perfect size, hold up even when the bag gets heavy and liquids are included. We highly recommend!
The material of these bags is not very strong. I worry about them breaking when full, or being easily punctured. They're also not as big as I needed them to be for kitchen trash

We appreciate your feedback. These bags should hold as much as a traditional 13 gallon kitchen trash bag, including food scraps, packaging, etc. I hope this helps!
We are looking to add a drawstring onto them in the future, though!
Have not yet had time to evaluate either product I bought. Send this again in a month or two.
We tried these bags for our weekly garbage pick up and are really happy knowing we are doing our part to minimize plastic.
