Give your cedar planters the care they deserve with Osmo UV‑Protection Oil—a natural, oil-based satin-matte finish designed to bring out the rich beauty of cedar while shielding it from the elements. Perfect for garden boxes, patio planters, and raised beds, this breathable, microporous finish enhances the wood's tone and grain without sealing it in plastic-like layers. It resists cracking, peeling, flaking, and blistering—even after seasons of sun and rain. Think of it as a breathable raincoat for your outdoor cedar: two coats offer 12× UV protection, keeping your planters vibrant and naturally greying-free. You’ll preserve the beauty of cedar while extending its lifespan, all without sacrificing sustainability.

Specifications
- Each 750 ml can covers approximately 86 ft² over two coats—perfect for several large cedar planters or one raised bed. The oil is medium-viscosity and dries in about 12 hours.
Measurements
- A standard 24″×36″ cedar planter takes around 200–250 ml of oil for full coverage. Apply in thin coats; wait 12 hours before reapplying. No pre-sanding required if surface is clean and dry.
Product Care
- Brush on with a synthetic-bristle brush like the WALL PRO 50 mm for even coverage. Clean tools with natural thinner or brush cleaner. Reapply every 1–2 years or as wood starts to fade.
End of Life
- Once finished, the can is recyclable. Any leftover oil can be stored for touch-ups. Used rags should be laid flat to dry before disposal or soaked in water to prevent combustion. The finish itself biodegrades safely with the wood over time.
