I have used this for all of my dishes over the past 6 months, and have been pleased with how long the head has lasted. Unfortunately, the part of the product that is supposed to last (the handle) has fallen apart, with the metal parts detaching from the wood. I never let the brush soak, but it obviously frequently got wet while washing dishes. I’m going to attempt to glue the parts back together, but this is definitely disappointing.

Hi Kacie, wow! We are so sorry to hear this has happened with your dish brush handle. We haven’t heard of this specific issue happening before, leading us to think this handle may somehow be defective. We’ll be in touch to assist shortly!

*Experience after 6 months of use*
Wow! I love this brush. I use liquid dish soap on it and it can create a nice suds on items and can get off a lot of gunk. I normally will soak things before hand because the brush likely wouldn’t be able to get off dried, tough residues, but that’s pretty normal for any cleaning tool.
After scrubbing I try to rinse the soap off and leave it drying standing up in a cup to preserve it. It is cute, works well and I LOVE that it is compostable. Actually going to order a replacement head for it while I have a coupon today, haha!

I bought this to use in my first ever apartment and it did not disappoint. The handle is nice and the brush can scrub anything. It also dries very fast which is a plus. I just bought a replacement head since it has been about 4 months.

We use this brush for cleaning dishes and it works very well. It seems like the head it comes with will last a very long time before we have to replace it. The head is very easy to remove and use by itself. I can’t believe I was ever using a plastic version of this!

Love! Love! Love this brush!!! Eliminating sponges from my home and this has been a great asset. Works well, dries up, cleans well and hangs and looks cute! The replaceable brush and complete biogradeability of it totally sold me!

It’s between four and five starts for me. I noticed a few bristles in my sink but maybe I’m too rough on some dishes? Otherwise I love that I can change it out and not worry about plastic sitting in a landfill. As a coffee drinker nonstop, I can finally get my travel mugs and pot super clean. Worth buying.

This is my first dish brush, I think it gets the job done very well and is a very good size to get into my bottles as well. I am however wondering if it is normal for some of the bristles to fall. It is not extreme, but it has been going on from the moment it came in here and there. I use natural dish soap and don’t do extreme loads of dishes but each time a couple fall off. That being said I think it is overall a good product and I appreciate the tampico head

Easy enough to use for cleaning those dishes I can’t reach my hand into. Also, nice to know that the head can be removed for replacement when the time comes.

I purchased this with the Castile Dish Soap and immediately fell in love with washing dishes again. I love the ease of this product and how well it cleans! I also appreciate the option to purchase the replacement head instead of having to get rid of the whole brush! It was such an easy switch to a more plastic free household.

I used to use the plastic scrubbers from Walmart – the kind you can put soap in and “click” to release soap onto your dishes. My last one got worn out, as they do, and before I tossed it I decided to go looking for a more eco-friendly replacement. Enter, the Redecker Dish Brush. Both my husband and I LOVE it. We use it to scrub fresh veggies out of the garden, to hand wash all of our dishes, and on our hands when we come in from yardwork. It’s gentle enough on hands and veggies but sturdy enough to get the job done on greasy dishes. I will never use another scrubber.

I was using the plastic-style disposable head dish brushes and finally made the switch to this brush (and dish soap blocks) and I’m glad I did – I love this thing! Sturdy, definitely nice looking, gets into crevices better, and love that the head is still disposable (and more eco-friendly of course). It’s super easy to keep it clean and I just hang mine from the faucet. I’ve been using it almost a month already, everything is holding up great!

I had been meaning to stop using disposable sponges. This brush works great with castile soft. The bristles are flexible enough to clean nooks and crannies

We used to have Full Circle Suds Up Brush which was too bulky, the dispensing mechanism was very tough to press, the bottom was always wet and the brush heads looked miserable after a couple weeks or so. Inspired by Shelbizleee, I got this brush and immediately fell in love with it!
First of, the design is genius. It’s elegant, right sized and makes me happy just to look at it. My favorite part is the steel “hook” at the bottom – prevents the brush from sinking into the holder and lets its wooden parts dry completely.
The bristles are great too! I do see the difference in material – they clean the dishes gently but don’t hold/absorb gunk even after dealing with charred baking trays! It’s been a month of pretty heavy usage and the bristles still look as good as new, no black residue or else. And of course I love that it’s fully recyclable. 10/10 highly recommend!

So I did purchase several dish brushes to replace my old worn out ones with more sustainable brushes. I love this dish brush and love that the brush head is completely compostable and the replacement heads are so affordable. I have really liked the quality of all the products I have ordered from this company so far.

This dish brush is the perfect size and the little hook on the end is so convenient. I love that it has a replaceable head. This is definitely a medium-soft brush. The biggest downside is that I believe I will need to replace the head more frequently than I had hoped because the bristles are a bit soft. Otherwise, it is lovely!

I have stopped using sponges now that I have this brush. This gets into the bottom of glasses with ease. Now to find a bottle brush to match it.

I bought this dish brush to replace a plastic dish brush that was getting smelly. So far it’s doing a great job scrubbing dishes. Some of the fibers fall off into the sink from time to time, but this hasn’t impacted its performance yet.

It’s a great dish brush, it scrubs nicely. I stand it up in my wire sponge holder/sink caddy to let it dry between uses. I love that I’ll be able to compost the brush head when it’s time to replace it! I’m really not sure what the metal hook thing on the end is for.

When it came time to replace our plastic dish brush, I knew it was time to upgrade to something more zero waste. This was my choice. It’s fantastic. The handle is smaller than I expected, but that’s not a huge deal. You’ll definitely need something like a bottle brush for cleaning the bottoms of taller items. The angle of this brush doesn’t allow it to clean the bottoms of certain things very efficiently, but it’s not unexpected. Just thought I’d mention it in case anyone wants this to be a solitary brush for cleaning dishes. This brush won’t serve every single function.

Question
Emily –
Can the brush head be placed in the dishwasher to sanitize it occasionally?

EarthHero –
Hi, Emily! This brush does best when cleaned using lukewarm water and a mild shampoo/dish soap, then towel blotted and air dried completely before use! For extra disinfection, you can soak the bristles in vinegar!
