Zero Waste Safety Razor

Im going to second a having to go back to a traditional razor. On the 3rd shave, I was shaving the back of my calf and it absolutely shredded my skin. It is horrible and jagged. I understand there is technique, and that the blades also need to be sharp, but a blade dulling after 2 shaves is not cost effective nor sustainable unless I was getting a free endless supply of blades.

The first thing I noticed upon opening the waste free packaging was how pretty the razor was! It is a delight. The twist and open feature makes cleaning the blade during use very convenient. The blade is sharp but safe - not one cut on the first try. Double-sided razor makes it efficient so you're not having to clean it between uses as much. Love it. Would 100% recommend!

This is the only razor I’ve used for the last few years. Love that you don’t have to buy plastic razors over and over again. Just switch the blade out when they’re dull and you’re good to go. I’m hoping I never have to buy another razor again in this lifetime. That would be great.

This is the ideal razor. I’m very confident it will last for several years. It is so easy and quick to replace the razor blades and I love the steel. It feels amazing to not contribute to all the waste disposable razor consumption produces. The razor itself is also constructed well enough to survive the many times I accidentally drop things.

This is my first safety razor and I am not fully converted from my Billie razor. I had put off trying one as I was a wee bit nervous about how to use it properly. This razor is super easy to use, clean, and store. Not to mention the money saved in the long run and the absence of plastic waste! I got the shorter handle (because it is cheaper haha) and it works great for my needs. It has a nice weight to it and the textured handle helps with grip when it is wet and soapy. If you've been thinking about switching, do it! its as simple as watching a quick YouTube video and then you are off to smooth skin. I also have always gotten irritation, ingrown hairs, and razor bumps on my legs with a multi blade razor heads. But not with the safety razor, so far so good! I'm very happy as this was the main reason I bought it aside from low waste. (does come with 2 packs of blade refills, only one is pictured in review)

Best razor ever! Wish I didn't take so long to switch to this razor. It is so easy to change the blade. Highly recommend!

If you want the closest shave ever, get this razor! I looove it & love the sustainability of it (ditch those plastic razor heads)!

The razor didn’t agree with me. I probably shave too quickly. It was not returnable, for this reason, so I donated it.

It’s extremely easy to cut yourself when using and it does not have a case for storage. The quality is good and works as intended.

i was worried that i would cut myself with it as it’s a new number of blades and doesnt swivel but it works really well!

I love this razor, I never get bumps on my legs and they always feel incredibly smooth. My only concern is that it is an open razor and I had to re-learn how to shave. Initially getting small cuts on my legs and still run the risk every shave. I recently dropped it in the shower and it slashed my leg. Because only a very small part of the razor is exposed it was a shallow cut, however it still hurt and bleed. I wouldn't recommend for teenagers or clumsy people. If you are careful this razor is very worth it for the quality of the shave and the long term savings.

This is a sturdy, easy to use, well made razor handle for use with refillable straight razor blades - the only way to go. My old handle fell and broke (different brand) and I had to use disposable razors while I waited for this replacement (which I haven’t used in years) and I was shocked to realize just how terrible disposable safety razors are, once you get used to straight razors. This handle has a clever mechanism for opening the top to replace blades.

I don’t know if it’s just me or not. I absolutely love the idea of of this and it works great the first shave but after that it doesn’t work quite as good. I’m going to continue using it for the remainder of the blades I have.

I previously bought one of these for myself and I finally convinced my husband to try it. He LOVES it. It gets a closer shave and it’s way more cost effective in the long run. Not to mention the blade doesn’t seem to dull as quickly as the disposable razors. The single blade also helps to prevent ingrown hairs and pulling in comparison to the multi blade disposable ones.

The razor is a bit heavy and kind of awkward to use at first, but I only used it once briefly so far so I'm sure I will get used to it. It is also only a single blade and I think double usually does a better job but this is double-sided so you get more use out of one blade I guess. It is nice to have all metal though so no plastic waste involved and it looks nice

Absolutely loved this eco-friendy switch! Definitely won’t be going back to plastic razors. My only word if advice is to not press too hard since I nicked myself a few times, so shave delicately!

I love the razor. The weight of it makes it really nice to handle. It came packaged nicely as well.

It’s great! Must use a good amount of soap and shaving cream because it’s sharp.

I really like the razor, but the description says 100% stainless steel in one place and 100% zinc in another. When I called to ask about it, the woman I talked to said it was 100% zinc. Then, when I got it the box only indicated 100% stainless steel. Please clarify the website

Wish I would’ve picked this up sooner! You get the hang of it quickly and it’s cost efficient and better for the environment. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Made the switch and I really think I am going to like it! I will say you have to take your time compared to others but for the sustainability and cut down on plastic, so worth it!

Really high quality and a very close shave. Be careful when placing the blade in, if you over tighten the bottom knob it can cause the blade to not come in contact with your skin
