Ready to ditch the single-use plastic bottles from your shower? Start with the Maintain Shampoo and Conditioner bars from HiBAR! Perfect for all hair types (and especially people who wash their hair less frequently!) the eco-friendly bars gently remove product buildup with added honeyquat and shea butter. Both bars are 100% safe for color treated hair, and contain no sulfates, parabens, silicone, phthalates, or palm oil. Plus, they're packaged and shipped 100% plastic free! To use: lather shampoo bar into hair, or lather into hands and apply into hair. Then, apply conditioner bar directly to your wet hair until it lathers, or rub it in your palms and then rub the lather into your hair.

Cruelty Free
Cruelty Free is a certification process through PETA that labels products that are not tested on animals. All companies that are included on PETA's cruelty-free list have signed a statement verifying that they don't use ingredients or create finished products that help conduct or pay for any tests on animals.

Leaping Bunny
Cruelty Free International certifies that cosmetic and household products are not tested on animals. These companies are audited to ensure that the ingredients and finished products are not causing harm to animals.

Paraben Free
Parabens are synthetic chemical preservatives, commonly used in beauty products like shampoo, lotion, and deodorants. Parabens can accumulate in your body, and have been linked to hormonal disruption and reproductive problems. In studies of breast cancer patients, parabens have been found in the tissue of cancerous tumors. If you want to avoid Parabens in your beauty products, keep an eye out for methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, and ethylparaben in the ingredients list.

Phthalate Free
Phthalates are found in toys, electronics, personal care products, plastic wraps, containers, and more. These petroleum based chemicals help soften plastics, and bind fragrances to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other personal care products. Phthalates are are not chemically bound, meaning they can easily get released into the air, water, or your body, just by using the products as intended. Phthalates have been found to disrupt the endocrine system, which can cause reproductive damage, hormonal imbalances, infertility, mood changes, metabolism changes, and more.

Recycled Packaging
This product is packaged or shipped in materials that contain recycled content.

Sulfate Free
Sulfates are synthetic chemical ingredients commonly used in beauty products and household cleaners, like shampoos and dish soaps. You can usually identify sulfates in an ingredients list by looking out for the most common types: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLC) and Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLES). These chemicals, often derived from petroleum, are used to help form the “lather” we’re used to seeing in our beauty and cleaning products. When used in the shower or sink, these chemicals can flow through the pipes and into our waterways. Synthetic sulfates have been linked to allergic reactions, eye and skin irritation, and hair loss, and some studies suggest they contain carcinogenic ingredients.

HiBAR shampoo and conditioner bars are changing the game when it comes to effective eco-alternatives for personal care. Traditional hair care products often contain harmful ingredients like parabens, phthalates, sulfates, or silicones, but HiBAR is choosing to truly "raise the bar" with thoughtfully chosen plant-based ingredients. Each bar contains high-quality, naturally-derived ingredients like nutrient-dense coconut oil, moisturizing shea butter, and fragrant essential oils. As a company that started out of desire for a plastic-free bathroom, HiBAR is even a total star when it comes to planet-friendly packaging. Click below to learn more about why we love HiBAR!

Works great and smells nice!

We have hard water and this shampoo and conditioner still leaves our hair silky, and feeling clean. We also love that all of the packaging is both plastic free and recyclable! Better for us and the environment is a massive win!

Excellent product

These bars are wonderful! My hair is just as clean as when I used to use liquid shampoo, and I think even softer. The scent is light and pleasant and they last so long! Perfect for travel (don’t have to worry about ounces on a plane), and great for at home everyday use as well. I will never go back to liquid shampoo/conditioner and love that I’m not buying as much plastic. Can’t say enough good things about this product and the brand. Will be a lifetime customer.

Good products

I've been using these for about 2 months and have no complaints. They work well, smell good, and are better for the environment than traditional shampoo/conditioner. I would recommend these to anyone.

It can take time to get used to, but both l,shampoo and conditioner, work great

Shampoo yes, conditioner no

I give 5 stars for the shampoo and 2 stars for the conditioner. The shampoo does a good job, it lathers, it smells good, it leaves my hair feeling clean and oil-free. I do not like the conditioner, it takes a lot to lather up and it doesn't even feel like it moisturizes at all. I like that it's plastic-free but I still have to use a leave-in after showering bc my hair felt dry. I'm not ready to give up my liquid conditioner for this yet.
