Paraben Free
Parabens are synthetic chemical preservatives, commonly used in beauty products like shampoo, lotion, and deodorants. Parabens can accumulate in your body, and have been linked to hormonal disruption and reproductive problems. In studies of breast cancer patients, parabens have been found in the tissue of cancerous tumors–yikes! If you want to avoid Parabens in your beauty products, keep an eye out for methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, and ethylparaben in the ingredients list.
Phthalate Free
Phthalates are found in toys, electronics, personal care products, plastic wraps, containers, and more. These petroleum based chemicals help soften plastics, and bind fragrances to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other personal care products. Phthalates are are not chemically bound, meaning they can easily get released into the air, water, or your body, just by using the products as intended. Phthalates have been found to disrupt the endocrine system, which can cause reproductive damage, hormonal imbalances, infertility, mood changes, metabolism changes, and more.
Sulfate Free
Sulfates are synthetic chemical ingredients commonly used in beauty products and household cleaners, like shampoos and dish soaps. You can usually identify sulfates in an ingredients list by looking out for the most common types: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLC) and Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLES). These chemicals, often derived from petroleum, are used to help form the “lather” we’re used to seeing in our beauty and cleaning products. When used in the shower or sink, these chemicals can flow through the pipes and into our waterways. Synthetic sulfates have been linked to allergic reactions, eye and skin irritation, and hair loss, and some studies suggest they contain carcinogenic ingredients.

I’ve been a fan of this product for years, and was so happy to find it here on EarthHero. It works really well, and I love the mild scent. To get it to spread super easy and quickly, I just aim my blow dryer on the tub for about three seconds. A little goes a long way!

This isn’t my favorite but it works pretty good. The scent is ok in my opinion but others might like it. Like a really earthy scent.

I got the smaller size (2 oz) to begin with and finally needed a refill after 4 months and I got the bigger size this time! I have gotten a rash from another brand before, so I’m really loving this formula, plus it’s so easy to scoop and apply. No extra tools needed!

I have to say, I have been searching for years (yes, literal years, about 10 of them) searching for a deodorant that feels good on, doesn’t give me a rash, and that keeps me from smelling. My skin is so sensitive I find that even if a deo doesn’t contain baking soda, it will often rash. However, this unscented cream is amazing. Not only does it glide on easy, but it keeps me smelling good all day (I would have to reapply other deos at least 1-3 times a day) and it doesn’t stain my clothes. I absolutely love it, got it in 2 oz but will get it in 6 oz next time.

I’ve been looking for a deodorant for so long. Low waste, natural ingredients and actually works! I’ve bought this item multiple times now. I should probably buy the larger one next time. Smells great and keeps you smelling great too!

I make sure that the deodorant is a little warmer so that it is easier to get out of the jar, and I wear it all the time. I like the scent a lot. I do reapply, particularly on days when I am not just sitting at a desk.

I’ve tried several other kinds of natural deodorants without baking soda. Each and Every, Chagrin Valley clay based deodorant, and they have never held up more than an hour or two. This one lasts through the day, as long as the day is low stress and I’m not working up a sweat. On days when I know I will be stressed or exercising I use a baking soda deodorant, but this is great to give my skin a break between those days.

I am committed to solid deodorants and have tried three different companies so far. This is the first one that I have tried without baking soda, and it works excellently! The only challenge is getting enough out of the jar to apply. It is so solid that I can’t get the pea-size amount out without using my fingernail and then it becomes a process to get the leftover solids and smell out from under my nail. Maybe it needs to be stored at a warmer temperature than 65-68 degrees?

This just doesn’t work. I’ve come back to look to see if I even read the label right, was it actually a deodorant or just a cream for sensitive pits? I have bought another deodorant and just put it on on top of this stuff. I paid a pretty penny for it, so I’m going to use it, but it does nothing for me.

Hi Kacie! We are so sorry that this deo isn’t working as well as you’d hoped. The Sensitive Pit Cream does not include baking soda which is great for odor reduction but can cause irritation in some people. All bodies are different! Our care team will be in touch shortly to help find a better alternative!

I was really excited to try this product out, however, I have been using it for a month now and it does not work at all. It almost makes the whole situation worse.

I LOVE the light vetiver scent and how well this works. I’ve had no irritation at all. It can have a white rub off on clothes, but I’m just extra careful when I put my shirts on. Highly recommend.

I’ve had a lot of issues with other brands since switching to aluminum-free deodorant. They either didn’t help with body odor or they left pretty bad rashes on my skin. I LOVE this product! I can go all day wearing this stuff and there is no bad smell. There is also no irritation left on my skin. Again.. I LOVE this product!

I purchased this as my first foray into non-aluminum, plastic-free deodorant. It’s good for the planet, and so far (one month post-switch) has been better than my standard American drug store anti-perspirant. It has a smell that is different but I find pleasant, and I’ve had a reduction in broken/irritated underarm skin (I’m a woman who shaves that hair). This is the nicest my underarms have looked since puberty! Also, I know it’s a deodorant, but I haven’t noticed an increase in sweating. I did switch only a month ago in the winter months, so that might change in the summer heat. So far, so good though!
The 2 oz jar looks like it will last me 3 months with almost-daily application. I will be getting more.
