Paraben Free
Parabens are synthetic chemical preservatives, commonly used in beauty products like shampoo, lotion, and deodorants. Parabens can accumulate in your body, and have been linked to hormonal disruption and reproductive problems. In studies of breast cancer patients, parabens have been found in the tissue of cancerous tumors. If you want to avoid Parabens in your beauty products, keep an eye out for methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, and ethylparaben in the ingredients list.

Phthalate Free
Phthalates are found in toys, electronics, personal care products, plastic wraps, containers, and more. These petroleum based chemicals help soften plastics, and bind fragrances to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other personal care products. Phthalates are are not chemically bound, meaning they can easily get released into the air, water, or your body, just by using the products as intended. Phthalates have been found to disrupt the endocrine system, which can cause reproductive damage, hormonal imbalances, infertility, mood changes, metabolism changes, and more.

Sulfate Free
Sulfates are synthetic chemical ingredients commonly used in beauty products and household cleaners, like shampoos and dish soaps. You can usually identify sulfates in an ingredients list by looking out for the most common types: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLC) and Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLES). These chemicals, often derived from petroleum, are used to help form the “lather” we’re used to seeing in our beauty and cleaning products. When used in the shower or sink, these chemicals can flow through the pipes and into our waterways. Synthetic sulfates have been linked to allergic reactions, eye and skin irritation, and hair loss, and some studies suggest they contain carcinogenic ingredients.

Pretty nice for dry skin

Started using this lotion as a face lotion almost a month ago, and having better luck with this one! I was trying to find a more earth-friendly moisturizer, but was having trouble as I tend to get pretty dry skin, so usually I have to get pretty thick lotions. I would the this lotion is on the medium side, not too heavy, pretty light! I think the smell isn't too strong, and also found that it not only left me with a dewwy-look after, but also seemed to help when applying my sunscreen after. My only note would be, I would NOT recommend this lotion to those with pretty oily skin - I think because my skin is a little dry, it helps, but I do notice a bit of an oily feeling, which might not be great for those with oilier skin. Otherwise, I think I will be sticking to this one!

This is really nice, light,

This is really nice, light, lotion. I use it on my face at night and still feel hydrated in the morning. If you use lotion before applying your makeup, this one goes a long way so only use a little!

Hydrating

I'm not sure if this is the normal consistency or the product arrived defective, but it has a strange almost curdled texture like over-beaten separated butter. I tried to stir it back together, but nothing seems to help, there are chunks of cream and then clear liquid. It is very moisturizing though and smells nice, hoping this was was some how spoiled in the mail and not the normal texture.

UPDATE: The earth hero team reached out to me and was very helpful in sending a replacement. It was just a defective product and the new product was very nice. It does still have a little bit of a grainy texture, but is very hydrating.

Hi there! We're sorry to hear this happened to your lotion. Some lotions can separate when exposed to temperature changes, but we haven't gotten this feedback on the Aloe Face and Body Lotion here before. Our team will be in touch shortly to assist!

Plastic free and moisturing

A little thick for me, but good for a night time moisturizer, clean with no strong scent.

I got this lotion after

I got this lotion after using the all cream because I was looking for a lighter moisturizer to use during the day in the summer. It's definitely lighter and does a good job moisturizing, but not leaving me oily. I have combination skin. I'm happy to find a product with clean ingredients and easily recyclable packaging.
