Baking Soda Free Zero Waste Deodorant Stick

While I appreciate that deodorant has non toxic ingredients and is plastic free, it did not offer very much protection from BO. I have been using deodorants for 10 plus years and I know that they only work for a short time, but this one lasted even less.

I love that it has magnesium in it. Magnesium helps to neutralize odor and it doesn’t block sweat. Sometimes when you start using it it can make you smell worse cause it’s detoxing your armpits. So give it some time before you give up! It doesn’t kill bacteria it neutralizes it so like I said give it some time. It’s easy to use, slides on beautifully, and smells so good. I bought the grapefruit scent.

I’ve used lots of natural sensitive skin deodorant, most of which come in plastic or have scents I don’t like. I love the scent of this deodorant and its packaging but it’s not quite strong enough to keep odor at bay. By the end of the day it’s exhausted.

I bought the cedar spruce on a whim to try during the winter months. I was expecting for this to be yet another eco friendly deodorant that didn’t really work for me, but I’m pleasantly surprised by how long it lasts! Happy to have given this brand a try.

Smells good but doesnt work for more than a couple hours

This deodorant is the perfect size that would fit in a gym bag or desk drawer. It has a mild scent and seems to work pretty effectively throughout the day!

I wanted to like it.. I ordered the Cedar Spruce scent and really love how it smells. Maybe it's my body's specific chemistry, maybe it's something else, but this made me smell so bad. Worse than if I wasn't wearing deodorant at all. Probably the worst my body has ever smelled. I had to buy a special benzoyl peroxide soap to wash my armpits because regular soap didn't help. I stuck with it for over a month hoping it would get better, and it never did. Really disappointed because I did want it to work.

I love the cute packaging, and the smaller size fits into my travel toiletries bag better. Most importantly, it works. I found this to be better than the Pit Stop that I used for years, namely that this doesn't become lumps that get stuck to my shirts and make them yellow. That's important after a while, because I don't want all my shirts to have yellow lumps in the armpit, as they don't come off in the wash. Haven't had that problem with this one yet. Finished one tube. Buying a second.

I got the Rose Geranium and the smell was so sharp and strong I ended up giving it away.

The smell of the product is nice and subtle. The Ingredient list is great. But it doesn't really work for me. Maybe for a few hours. I'm not extra sweaty or smelly and yet

I’ve used this brand of deodorant for about 3 years now and don’t have any complaints.

I tried switching to Meow Meow Tweet after my preferred natural deo was discontinued. This is my second deodorant from this brand. My first was rose geranium scented. I hated that scent from day 1, but used it up because I also hate creating waste. I next bought the grapefruit scent, and that is what I will be reviewing here.

It smells sweet and a little citrusy in the tube. The deodorant goes on kind of like coconut oil. It’s solid in the tube, but greasy on the body. For an hour or so, it smells sweet and citrusy on the body as well, but that citrusy scent does not mix well with the smell of my sweat. I know this isn’t an antiperspirant, but more powdery deodorants can sometimes help keep the underarms drier. The slick texture of this product did the opposite. Really just created a breeding ground for bacteria, which is something that cannot be solved by the frequent reapplications I performed while trying to work with this product. Even after showering in the morning and before reapplying the deodorant, I could smell the deodorant mixed with my body odor emanating from my pores. Really unpleasant. I really tried to stick with it, but I can’t go around stinking until this tube is used up. I switched to another natural deo brand that is working much better for me.

I hate leaving negative reviews for sustainable products, but I really don’t want someone else to go through what I have. If you can get away with just applying scented essential oils under your armpits and calling it a day, this may work for you, but that was not the case for me.

I bought this in the cedar spruce scent about 2 weeks ago because my sister has sensitive skin and often has breakouts/rashes on her underarms. She has seen a significant decline in issues since switching to this deodorant and the smell is amazing !

I typically use Secret Clinical Strength deodorant for odor protection. I have been searching for an aluminum-free option. Unfortunately, this was not long-lasting odor-wise. It did successfully not run off on my clothes and worked well as an antiperspirant.

Scent dissipates quickly after putting on but I like that

The “seal” sticker on the outside (has a drawing of a seal on it) was already sliced open between the cap and unit, and I emailed EarthHero support for help in replacing or refunding it since I didn’t want to use a product that may have already been used, but they still haven’t responded, yet they were helpful when I emailed about shipping. The cedar smell is too strong too and isn’t pleasant for a body scent either, but I guess I’ll just accept the waste of money and not shop here again.

Works and goes on smooth

This is the first eco friendly deodorant that I’ve tried and actually works. You do have to let it heat up on your skin for a couple seconds, then apply like the directions say. No BO, no stains. Love

Thought I would like the grapefruit but it really is not ideal when mixed with sweat.

It's deodorant....it has a job..this one does it well. And the packaging is more environmentally conscious. I only wish is came in more scents geared toward men.

The grapefruit scent is my favorite! This brand applies the best and goes on smoothly out of all the eco deodorants I've tried. The cedar spruce scent is perfect around Christmas time!

The cedar spruce is my high school aged son's favorite deodorant! I buy it for myself, but my son sees it appear in the bathroom and goes, "Ooooh, it's That deodorant!," and off it goes to his bedroom, lol! I like the smell of it too, so I bought Meow Meow Tweet's bulk unscented deodorant, and I'm gonna try to recreate this scent with the unscented cream deodorant in the glass jar. They have a guide on their website about how to add essential oils to it yourself. It's an incredible forest type smell. My one gripe is that I went to empty out my spinning compost bin, and the empty cardboard tube absolutely did not break down over many months of getting tumbled in there. I've chopped it up and thrown it back in, so fingers crossed it breaks down this time.

Love this deodorant! I've been using it for over two years now and not only do I love it, but I get complimented often on smelling good. Obviously it is pricier than standard deodorants, but if you have the means then it's another awesome easy switch to reduce waste in your daily routine

I honestly didn't have any problem with this deodorant. It eliminated my armpit odor and I finished the whole deodorant. Satisfied customer!

Works great and pretty natural. It's small but it actually last quite a while!
