Sulfate Free
Sulfates are synthetic chemical ingredients commonly used in beauty products and household cleaners, like shampoos and dish soaps. You can usually identify sulfates in an ingredients list by looking out for the most common types: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLC) and Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLES). These chemicals, often derived from petroleum, are used to help form the “lather” we’re used to seeing in our beauty and cleaning products. When used in the shower or sink, these chemicals can flow through the pipes and into our waterways. Synthetic sulfates have been linked to allergic reactions, eye and skin irritation, and hair loss, and some studies suggest they contain carcinogenic ingredients.

Best travel setup I've ever used

Just did my first trip with this and it worked great, including zero trouble through airport security in multiple countries. The shampoo itself came out extremely easily, so be careful not to overdo it! I love that the cap stays on tight so no leaks (major issue with plastic refillable travel containers). And I look forward to refilling from my larger container at home!

This little body is great. The shampoo it holds inside is pure Aloe :)

Mini shampoo

It is ideal as I travel a lot and they are easy to pack. The shampoo is great and smells good. They are easy to refill and wash and they seal well.

Not sure how I feel

Not sure how I feel about this shampoo. I have really short hair so the trial sized bottle lasted for washes. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how effective it was at washing. My hair texture is in the 4A to 4B range, and it always felt a bit weird after using the shampoo. Felt somewhat refreshed, (because of the shampoo scent), but also a little dry.

Hi CS! We're stoked that you wanted to give Plaine Products a try, the travel-size bottles are great for testing it out! We recommend pairing with one of their conditioner options if you're experiencing dryness. If we can help with finding another product, drop us a line at!

Dandruff, probably not suited for my curls

After using my hair feels very dry and stripped. Afterwards, I noted my head had some dandruff and itched. I think this particular product isn't suited for my hair type. I also find the scent very strong, but that is just me. I don't like scented anything unless it is fresh/clean scent.
