Every single plastic toothbrush, since production first began in the 1930’s, still exists in a landfill or ocean today (that’s over 4.7 billion brushes!) Shocked? So was the Kumar family, founders of Brush with Bamboo. They decided to take matters into their own hands and create a toothbrush that composts in nature, instead of polluting it!
Their signature toothbrush, made from sustainably grown 100% Certified Organic Wild Moso bamboo, features plant-based bio-bristles from Castor Bean oil and compostable packaging derived from vegetable cellophane. The brush handle is commercially compostable, as is their bamboo straws. Plus all their products are vegan, cruelty-free, BPA-free, and without toxins. How could it get better than that?
The days of your toothbrushes living longer than you do are in the past. With Brush with Bamboo, you are saying no to plastic pollution and yes to sustainable solutions! Together, we can keep our teeth clean and the environment even cleaner by switching over to eco-friendly alternatives like Brush with Bamboo.

Great shower loofah that dries quickly and lasts quite awhile. I put this on a soap saver to help it dry faster. Since it’s a multi-pack I split it up for shower use and others for cleaning.

I’ve been using these for quite a while for washing dishes and as a shower loofah (just keep separate ones for different uses haha), and I love them!

I am not a fan of them as a dish scrubber but they are a household favorite for a body scrub. Love that we can cut it up and put in the compost after we are done. Will always be getting 🙂

This loofah makes an interesting shape when expanded with water much like the Gourd Shape Loofah on Earthhero to, but possibly slightly bigger (I didn’t compare them though.) This one makes more of a triangle shape. I would save it doesn’t get as big as plastic loofahs can (like other commenters noted) but for me this is a great manageable size. So glad to have one that isn’t plastic too.

I use these both in the kitchen and the shower and am very satisfied with the results in both instances. I like that they are not oversized, and when I’m done with them I send them off to be composted. Such a great cleaning alternative! Note that they are not water absorbent (though they hold soap great), so usually after I scrub down a counter I will go over it with an Unpaper Towel just to keep it all tidy!

I bought a pack of these about a year ago and have not gone through all of them yet. My partner and I both use them in the shower and it’s very great for cleaning dishes. Plus when they are all used up, we just toss it into the compost and we don’t have to worry about it being sent to landfill. A life changer.

I find these work really great with the solid dish soap blocks and help them suds up better. And they are the right middle ground of scrubbiness for most of our handwashing. I did find they are not scrubby enough for me for the shower, however.

A great alternative to other plastic loofahs.

It’s insane to me that plastic wasteful versions of loofahs and sponges have been considered the norm when these grow like this! They work fantastic and they have a really good amount of scrub to them. They work fantastic on our dishes which is primarily what we use them for.

These provide a pleasant, moderate level of exfoliation that is smoothing out some rough skin patches. I live in an area where everything mildews in the winter, so I’m excited that these drain/dry more quickly than my old scrub mitt and can go in the compost whenever their time is up.

We switched to these in an effort to further reduce our waste. We had been using a scrubber made from walnuts and recycled plastic but I really wanted to find a scrubber that we could just toss in the compost when the time came, and here it is! My husband wasn’t sold at first, but now he doesn’t want anything else. These are great scrubbers for dirty dishes, they hold up better than the previous products we have used, and for that reason I think they actually end up costing less, so I guess a win/win IS possible in 2020!

I bought these a couple weeks ago and they are just amazing! I’m using one to do dishes – suds up well and cleans well, also dries fast and no odor. I’m using another one in the shower as a loofah, it’s not too rough on my skin and not too soft, I feel like I’m getting a good clean. Happy that these will last for a while and that when I am done they can be composted! They are just perfect!

These are really awesome for cleaning dishes etc.
I appreciate the fact that I’m using a product that is all natural and it works just as well as the synthetic stuff. I know that this is being a good steward of the planet God has given us. I plan to continue removing as much as possible all things harmful to us and our world.

I bought these to replace the plastic loofahs that we have become so accustomed to using. They work nicely in the shower and really do soften up after being in water. They are slightly rougher than the plastic ones so a little less pressure has to be used. I really like that they can be composted when done.

I have been searching for the perfect low waste sponge for cleaning dishes for awhile now. Finally found it! All of the other zero waste options I have tried have not actually removed food from dishes as well as I wanted them to. These are affordable, completely compostable at end of life and actually work! Do not hesitate to try these.

We’ve been using this as our dish sponge and for cleaning counter tops and even for cleaning fruits and root crops. when we’re ready to replace it, we just toss it in our compost bin and it’s fully composted in a month.

So far am I liking these sponges even more than I initially expected. I’ve only ever used conventional sponges before so this was a bit of a switch. I cut the sponge in half to prolong its life and the half is plenty for me to use for cleaning my dishes. It lathers up very nicely and does a good job cleaning my dishes. They also dry very quickly, which I’m hoping means that it will take longer/be harder for bacteria to grow on it. I’m hoping that these will last much, much longer than conventional sponges because $20 is a pretty high price for sponges in my opinion. I will definitely continue using these types of sponges in the future but I may look for a cheaper version.

They expand to a round tube but are soft and squish down to whatever cleaning shape you need. Nice scrubbing surface but also gentle enough.

Absolutely love these. I got them to replace sponges because all the sponges I could find had some sort of plastic in them; but these are all natural fibers.
These are way better than sponges. They scrub well, hold soap and water well, but they also dry out in between uses so that they don’t mildew, grow bacteria, and become stinky like sponges do!
Will definitely keep using them!

First time ever using a loofah. It is a bit exfoliating. Don’t think I’ll use it everyday. But a couple times a week for sure. Gives a nice lather that wash cloths don’t seem to hold. Can’t wait to throw it in the yard!

I have been using this loofah for about 2-3 weeks now and it works great! I did notice a bit of a smell when I first grabbed one but it was completely gone within a few days. It is not too rough nor too soft.

First time using a loofah. It does its job as a gentle scrubbie. I use it for my cast iron skillet, scrubbing food off of plates, and I use it to clean my bathroom as well. I’m big on lather, depending on what soap you use it can lather really well. I’ve read reviews about a smell and straight out of the package I didn’t notice a smell. I recommend it as an alternative/replacement to the Scott’s green scrubbies.

I like them from the start. Not to rough on the skin and they out preform everything else I have had. Don’t think I’ll be changing brands anytime soon.

I absolutely love this product! I never liked using wash cloths because I never felt clean after using them and regular loofas are just so wasteful and hard to recycle. My best friend started growing these and she let me take one home to use… unfortunately, my dog got ahold of it before I could use it. So I bought a new one here! And probably the best bathroom buy I have every done

I’ve been using this for my dishes and while it took a little getting used to, I like it. It scrubs really well. I also used one on my tub walls and it got rid of any build up!

Smelly at first. Kept using and now just has the sent of our soap we use. Works well. They expand and soften (I was a bit worried at first). They work with cleaning and washing yourself. Will not being buying a plastic loofah ever again
