Being an extremely environment friendly person always trying to reduce plastic and save the environment I love this product, it eliminates the plastic bottle, comes in recyclable packaging and it’s easy to use/effective, and it’s made here in the USA which greatly reduces travel for delivery which reduces carbon dioxide emissions that get released into the air Would definitely recommend for all trying to make the transition to environment friendlyness

This does not rinse out AT ALL if you have hard water. My hair was very greasy looking and waxy feeling. Had to shampoo and condition liquid pThe package does say this, but it’s not listed on this site. Used once and I’ll have to give away to someone with soft water.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. You raise such a great point! We have found that there is a bit of a transition period for shampoo bars. As you mentioned, they can leave one’s hair feeling a bit waxy at times! A helpful tip is to rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar once a week to refresh your hair during the transition period. We will be reaching out to learn more about your experience to see what we can do to help!

I kind of hate this product and I’m not sure I’ve ever disliked a product from EarthHero. I think that’s my fault because I really love the clean, dry feel of my head after showering, having been accustomed to over the counter, mainstream shampoos out of plastic bottles for years. This shampoo is sooo hard to rinse out of hair and leaves my hair feeling really greasy and oily- I much prefer the HiBar shampoo for that “clean” feeling. Leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because it DOES smell GREAT, so on scent alone this is a win!

I love the Jojoba scent and I haven’t had dry scalp since using this shampoo!

My partner and I both enjoy it. For now it seems to be helping soothe the itchiness of my seborrheic dermatitis as well.

I got this for my husband to use and he likes it more for his beard than his long head hair. It smells great and makes his beard soft!

I was not expecting this shampoo bar to suds up like it did. That was a nice surprise. My hair felt very clean and I don’t have to use conditioner; but then I have very short hair. Long hair might get different results. I like that this shampoo bar is very echo-friendly. I don’t know if I will stay with this “scent” or try the others but I won’t go wrong either way.

Question
O –
Why is this on the earth hero website if there is palm oil in it? Palm oil cannot be sustainably sources because it ruins orangutan habitat…

EarthHero –
Hi O! Thank you for your feedback and concern regarding this palm oil’s sourcing. We are aware of the issues surrounding palm oil and it is not something that we take lightly. This is one reason we love Badger products- they take their sourcing just as seriously! Their palm oil is certified sustainable by two organizations- Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil and USDA Organic Standard. Additionally, Badger’s two palm oil suppliers also have certifications from EcoSocial, Fair Trade, Orangutan Land Trust/Forests4Orangutans approved to ensure their sustainability- just another one of the reasons that we LOVE Badger’s products 🙂 Please reach out to hello@earthhero.com with any additional questions- we’d love to continue this conversation!

I have been trying out a number of shampoo bars to try to reduce my plastic use. This one gave me dandruff that I had a hard time getting rid of. It also left my hair feeling waxy. I do not recommend.

It lathers really well and has a nice, subtle scent. It can leave my hair feeling a little dry, but I have super short hair, so that doesn’t bother me. Overall, it’s a good shampoo bar for a good value.

It lathers easily, but it hasn’t been great for my hair. I’ve ended up alternating it with another shampoo because I still want to use it up, but I don’t like how my hair feels after I use it for too many days. I also don’t like that there’s not much of a smell to it.
I feel like this might be a great shampoo for someone else, but it doesn’t work for me.

I have fine, oily hair and this shampoo has worked great on my hair. It lathers up well without having to use a ton and the bar seems to be lasting longer than other shampoo bars I’ve tried.

I really wanted to love this shampoo since it’s less expensive than the brand I was using. It left my hair a little dull and flat, though.

Hi there – sorry to hear this shampoo bar didn’t work for your hair! You may want to try this option by HiBar. They’re new to EH and we’re seriously loving them! They make conditioner bars, too. 🙂

This stuff is amazing! It lathers really well and a little bit goes a long way. I wish it had more of a smell though.

I like how this product lathers up really well. The smell is almost non-existent, but at least it doesn’t bother me. I would like if they made it with almond oil or jasmine scented options.

I was so anxious to try this shampoo bar and . . . let me just say that it did not disappoint.
I love the smell of it (it’s not overpowering), but most of all, I love how easy it lathers.
I will be buying this again, and I also won’t hesitate to buy some for my friends and family as well.
Highly recommend! 🙂
