Did you know that wrapping paper and shopping bags account for 4 million TONS of trash annually in the USA alone? This is because most gift paper cannot be recycled, which means that after just one use, it's headed to our landfills. Wrappily knows there is a better way to gift! Their Rainbow Sails and Dots Recycled Gift Paper is printed on recycled newspaper using repurposed printing press machines – and can be recycled or composted after you're done using it! The colorful sheets are printed with a soy-based ink and feature a reversible design for twice the cheer. Each package comes with 3 sheets of 24.5 x 34" gift paper. Plus, various Wrappily patterns mix and match perfectly, so there's no shortage of ways to wrap! Artwork done by watercolorist and author, Meera Lee Patel.
Women Owned
This brand is owned by a majority of women. This includes everything from a small one-woman shop to a larger company where more than 51% of women make up the ownership team.

Compostable
This product contains material that can break down into soil in either a backyard or industrial composting system. These products are declared compostable by the manufacturer, but may not third-party certified. Contact your local waste-hauler or composting facility to determine where these materials may be accepted. Certain materials may be better fit for industrial facilities than backyard composting systems. Industrial facilities may not exist in your area.

Low Impact Dyes or Inks
Low impact dyes and inks can include vegetable, soy, or water-based alternatives and generally do not contain toxins such as heavy metals, plasticizers, flurocarbons, and fomaldehyde. They typically also use less water than conventional dyes and inks.

Made in the USA
This product was made in the United States. Buying locally made items helps to reduce harmful emissions that result from transportation during and after the production process. Purchasing products made in the United States also ensures that the items are produced in ways that meet strict safety and labor standards.

Recyclable
This product contains recyclable materials. It may be recyclable with curbside recycling collections, but might need to be sent to a special recycling facility. Contact your local waste-hauler or recycling facility for details. Appropriate facilities may not exist in your area.

Recycled Content
Recycling is the process of taking an otherwise-discarded item or material and cleaning, sorting, and breaking it down into its basic form (such as fibers or pellets). This material is then used to produce new items. Recycling keeps useful materials from being discarded in landfills, prevents resource extraction due to the creation of new materials, and provides a new life for used items. Recycling can utilize both pre-consumer waste (materials left over from production) or post-consumer materials (used clothing, empty water bottles, etc).

Wrappily

In 2013, Sara Smith started Wrappily with one goal in mind: find a solution to the 4 million tons of wrapping paper that is thrown away annually. Since most traditional wrapping paper is not able to be recycled, Sara went to the drawing board to create a new type of gift wrap. Based on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii, Sara and the Wrappily team work together with local artists to design a beautiful collection of eco-friendly gift wrap. Wrappily offers individual sheets of wrapping paper printed with nontoxic soy-based ink on newsprint and made from recycled content that is easily recyclable at the end of life. The sheets are printed with double-sided designs on idle news-press machines that otherwise would have gone unused. We love the fact that this company is woman-owned and has a closed-loop production methodology. Get your next party started with Wrappily paper!
