Based on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii, Sara and the Wrappily team work together with local artists to design a beautiful collection of eco-friendly gift wrap. Wrappily offers individual sheets of wrapping paper printed with nontoxic soy-based ink on newsprint and made from recycled content that is easily recyclable at the end of life. The sheets are printed with double-sided designs on idle news-press machines that otherwise would have gone unused. Nature's version of wired ribbon

I'm slowly but surely working my way towards more eco-friendly wrapping for Xmas and birthday presents. I haven't really worked with this kind of ribbon before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really love it! I used it on one of my Xmas gifts. It looks beautiful, paired with brown kraft paper and a sprig of evergreen anchored under the bow.

The only learning curve is being sure to be gentle but firm when tying knots and pulling it into a bow. But its gauzy/crinkley texture allows it to mimic wired, plastic-based ribbons; once you pull it into a bow, it may seem a little pinched together, but then you an "open up" thea ribbon again, and it will hold its shape to create a full-looking bow. I look forward to purchasing more rolls in additional colors.
