Izzy Recyclable Mascara - Zero Waste Mascara, Vegan, Carbon Neutral

The mascara goes on a bit too thick for my taste, but it lasts all day & most importantly, it doesn't irritate my eyes at all, which is nothing less than a miracle for me!

The tube is of course a little heavy because of the metal, but I don’t mind at all. The wand and formula make for amazing voluminous lashes! Love it!

I am SO impressed and honestly relieved to have finally found a mascara that is less wasteful! Mascara packaging creates so much unnecessary waste, so finding a company like Izzy that is genuinely committed to reducing, reusing, recycling, and composting is incredibly refreshing.

I love that Izzy uses refillable stainless steel makeup tubes and reusable shippers that you return when you’re finished with your products. It feels so much better knowing that something I use every day doesn’t have to automatically become another piece of waste.

I’m also incredibly thankful for Izzy’s commitment to creating 100% cruelty-free and vegan-friendly products with no animal-derived ingredients and no animal testing. Knowing that their formulas are free from ingredients like sulfates, parabens, formaldehyde, phthalates, and mineral oil makes me feel even better about what I’m putting on my face.

Worth it, if you are on the fence just go for it. My lashes have never looked longer or fuller. Also love how the container is reusable.

Contacted support when only half my order showed up. They said it would be fixed but it was not. I got the face lotion free with this purchase and that stuff is great so its a wash I suppose?

I switched over from tubing mascara which I’ve used for years and am LOVING this. I’m genuinely surprised by how much I like it. Full volume. Not much clumping. Goes on smoothly and stays put.

I love these not only for the fract that they are better for the environment, but also because they make doing laundry at the laundromat easier since I don’t have to lug around a container of liquid detergent on my walk there. They also work well, so there is that.

While I love the idea of this refillable mascara, I do not unfortunately like the product itself. It is gloppy and the bent wand is hard to use.

I love everything.

I’m happy to have a non-toxic option that doesn’t contribute to waste. But the mascara doesn’t add much to my lashes, maybe a little length, and it takes much longer to remove than my other ones.

I do not wear a lot of makeup but it does the job and looks great! I love the fact that this company went the extra mile to make a sustainable product and takes responsibility for that product from cradle to grave. No need to ever throw the product or the packaging in the trash when done with it.

I am liking this mascara so far. It does get a little clumpy by the end of the day and the brush is a bit messy but it lasts all day and doesn’t smear much so the benefits of being recyclable and all that outweigh the negatives.

The ingredient list is not accurate, this product contains microplastics…love Earth Hero. Don’t love wearing and washing microplastics down the drain.

Mascara goes on thick and clumpy. Needs to be combed through to even out.

I really wanted to like this mascara but the brush is not great for applying and it comes out too thick.

The Izzy zero waste mascara is my new fave. I really love it because the brush is soft and doesn’t stab me in the eye when I get close lmao and also it doesn’t make my lashes clumpy. They always look fluttery and natural! I tried it for environmental reasons mainly but the formula is bomb actually.

I love love love this mascara but lately I feel like it has run out much faster and starts to clump up. I’m not sure if I just got a dud or if the formula has changed but it used to be much better. After week 1 of using it, it seems like the brush starts to wear out more.

The mascara works well. Still trying to figure out the best technique in using the funny shaped brush. Love that the tube will be refilled. Wish that the brush could be sanitized and reused too. I chose this aluminum tube over another brand that makes glass tubes because I am concerned that I might drop the tube and don't want to deal with shattered glass.

This is my first time using Izzy products and only day 3 of using it continuously, but the volume this mascara gives my lashes is so amazing! I LOVE it! Also, knowing that I am investing in a sustainable product makes the experience of using this product even more enjoyable, especially as I strive to reduce my waste in my day to day where I can.

It has kind of a strange potent smell, but I imagine it's because it's not filled with chemicals! Otherwise I love this mascara and it does the job.

I received my first tube as a Christmas present this past year. I initially wanted to try it out due to it being zero waste but was pleasantly surprised with how much I love it. I don't wear a lot of makeup, and a couple of coats really lengthens and darkens my lashes, maintaining a more natural look. Also, the process to ship the tube back and get a new one is super easy.
The company itself is super dedicated to its mission and customers. There was a mistake with one of my previous orders and I truly appreciated how transparent the team was. They were honest about the mix up and corrected the situation immediately, I really enjoyed my experience with them. They've definitely earned a customer for life!

I liked the mascara sent on the first order. I’ve returned the second order because the wand and mascara seemed faulty, as though a used product was sent by mistake. I enclosed an explanatory note with the returned product.

I love everything about this mascara. It covers nicely, builds well and stays on all day without flaking. I love that it comes in a recyclable and reusable container, and I love that it comes in a shipping pouch that can also be used again and again by the company. I’ve been using this for well over a year.

The stars are for the recyclable aspect - it is metal and comes in a cloth mailer to send it back. Really cool! Not my FAVORITE mascara ever, but I wear mascara so seldom, it doesn't really matter. I honestly just bought this one for the sustainable aspect. I is good mascara, but I didn't expect it to be the best mascara ever.
