I was hoping this dish soap would be a good replacement for our dish detergent. I never really got a chance to use it - also I was not a fan of the smell. The worst part is it attracted fruit flies!!!! I do not leave fruit out and I clean down counter tops and sink constantly. When looking for the source I found over a dozen fruit flies on the soap. Now I am dealing with getting rid of these awful pesky flies. I had to throw out the soap to stop attracting them. I would not recommend this soap unless you don't care about having fruit flies in your house. I could only get one picture before they flew off, but you can see 2 fruit flies on one side of the soap. There were more.

I’ve been using this dish block and the brush set for almost 2 years and I’ll never go back to anything else! I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works to remove grease and food stains. I love that it’s nontoxic with no harsh or artificial ingredients. I’m also a big advocate for reducing plastic waste and this soap block is a great swap for reducing plastic waste!

I had never heard of a solid dish bar till I started shopping at Zero Waste Store. My curiosity took over and so I ordered one. I received my dish block several days ago and since then have put it to the test in my home. I read the description of what I could use it for. I used it to clean my dishes along with using the Loofah, the long handle scrubber, pot scrubber, dish scrubber, and bottle cleaner that I purchased in a dish brush kit I got on this site recently. Wanted to really test everything out and am very pleased with how all my dishes and counter tops were clean after using. I love all the brushes too. I use my biggest bowl or cook pot, fill it with water to rinse soapy dishes in so that I don't use so much water by just running my faucet. My biggest task for this bar was seeing how it would do to get a twin mattress protector clean, (the fabric side of course), that had stains from my 2 big, wonderful, messy, and smelly, Pit Bull dogs. They have their own twin bed they share so they can get off me and my bed which also is a twin lol! You can imagine all the slobber and stuff that soaked thru the sheet on to the protector and I thought it would be a great test for the bar. I wish I had before and after pics but didn't think of that. It not only helped get the stain off but the smell of dog was also gone in the spot I cleaned. They lay in the same spots so it wasn't hard to do. This bar worked great on my glass top stove and the stainless steel parts of it that get greasy streaky finger prints and stuff. I made a little lather (little bit goes a long way folks!) on my short dish brush, took off half the knobs and scrubbed off the grime on that side to show the difference. I then took a clean dish towel, dried it and did a little buff into a nice shine and it only took a few minutes! Used to take me forever to get liquid dish soap lather off and this dish bar made it faster, easier, and I think it even looks better. These were the appliances that were left in the home when we got it. Stainless steel is a pain to keep clean and now it will be easier because of the way the bar is made. Simple ingredients anyone can understand that is printed on the box it comes in. I still have plenty of bar left but not really trying to keep up with how much I use right now. It's new to me, I'm learning using a concentrated dish bar, and I been using the hell out of it this past week testing it on so many things. Like even our shoes we wear out in the dirt for gardening that cleaned up great! Already got another bar on the way because we like how this cleans. The guys love washing their hands with it. Said their hands don't feel dried out using it and it only takes a little bit rubbed on to a wet hand. I get a lot of dish washing done and my hands aren't dried out either. I definitely recommend this Dish Bar. It's a big winner for me and the guys here.

This is a great, non plastic block of soap. No complaints except that I wish it was bigger.

I am very satisfied with my dish block. It works very well and I FEEL good using it. It's super cost effective to subscribe and get one every month. While I'm still waiting on my soap block, I am excited for it to come.

I want to get away from plastic bottles...this get grease off!!! Gentle on hands but with a dish rag or brush. Get every dish, pan and glass wear clean

This was a great idea and fit into my interest in stopping using plastics but not to compromise cleanliness. It fits perfect and will order again once I measure the amount I need. THANKS!

Don't usually like soap bars, but I've found this to be super convinient for use with brush cleaners! Nice and soapy! Low mess left behind.

An excellent swap from liquid dish soap. Not a strong smell and foams up nicely.

Recently switched from commercial dish soap to this one and I am loving the switch! I love knowing it is safer for my family to use. I just wish it was bigger to make it last longer!

This bar has changed the way I do dishes! It is so simple, looks good on the counter, and lasts a long time. It so very true that a little does a long way. It does a wonderful job cutting through all the grease and grime on the dishes.

This little block of soap works so well. Just a small amount on my scrub cloth does a lot of dishes. No plastic bottle to go to the landfill. I just ordered several for my daughter and for me.

Love it, my dishes are clean guilt free, no sitting bacteria, and it makes the kitchen sink look a lot prettier then the neon liquid soaps (especially paired with ZWS sponges and bamboo scrubbers). I didn't realize how much cleaner it smelled until I smelled Dawn for the first time in awhile. The Dawn was so strong it gave me a headache. I would say one block lasts about the same as 3-4 liquid soaps, roughly. I'm not fully sure because most of my family uses the block but some don't.

This block of soap is going to last me forever. Just scrub your brush in with a little bit of water about five times and you can do a whole sink. Keep that water flow and keep that brush wet and you’ll barely have to touch that block of soap. I also love the tray it comes with because it holds the soap up out of liquid that would be in the bottom and you can easily just dump it and then deep clean it every couple times so the bamboo doesn’t get moldy. So easy so amazing. I must choose if you’re switching.

Like the idea but wish it smelled differently or could be chopped and dissolved like the hand soap bars.

works well, would prefer for it to have a different smell and be more sudzy but gets the job done generally
