Who here has ever tried to reuse those plastic little produce baggies (and forgotten them at home)? Who has tried almost every trick in the book to keep those asparagus stalks fresh? Or maybe you’ve just been at your wit’s end for how to keep those wonderful leafy greens un-wilted? *raises hand on ALL points*
I bought one to see how it would actually work. This seems almost too simple to be effective.
I can tell you now, IT WORKS! This gave new life to the produce I had in my crisper, and I reflexively bought more in ALL sizes. I would note here that you need to be a bit careful which veggies you put together, as not all of them will play well with others. Fruits are a no-go in this baggie, but I actually just wrap them in a cotton dish cloth and leave them on my counter.
The best part? I’m bringing these with me to the grocery store as extra produce bags. They wash easily and seem incredibly well-made. The small was still large enough for asparagus and some carrots. The extra large is probably more for kale or bok choy, but you could easily store enough salad in there for a week.
If you’re looking for something to help keep your produce fresh (especially if you have an older apartment-issued refrigerator like I do), then THIS is what you’re looking for!

I bought one to try out and was very impressed at how well my kale kept during the week. No wilting or signs of going bad. I’ve tried to save my kale and spinach with just a wet towel but this works 1000% better. I’ve decided to buy a few more since.
