Bumi Eco Duffel Bag

It's a great bag. It's sturdy and good looking. The trouble is that is picks up lint SO FAST. This bag has inspired me to pack a lint roller in my car. The pictures here are taken not even 24 hours after I rolled it completely clean. I don't have animals. This is just life lint. I requested to exchange this one for the green one, but the "no tag, no return" policy was explained as firm and now I am doomed to daily bag grooming. I don't think it would be so rough if the color wasn't so light and I could skip a few days. It's shame because I like this bag, but the routine or the lint build up us growing old very fast.

We travel a lot and I’d been looking for a new duffel for an upcoming trip. Found this company while searching for sustainable brands and I’m so happy I did! I got the charcoal Bumi duffel, burnt orange makeup bag and the olive toiletry bag. They are very well made, beautiful colors and the company even sent an extra little bag for free. Love it!

You've likely seen two duffel bags offered - the Bumi duffel and the Aarde gym bag. You've read the dimensions but its hard to picture how they compare. I wanted one for a gym bag and one for carry on luggage, so I got both! After stuffing them with blankets, it appears the Bumi is ~20% larger in every dimension. It is a little bigger than a typical backpack, and I'd use it for travel but I would also stick to the smaller Aarde bag for more everyday stuff. The Bumi is the green one on the right in the picture. Both bags are very well made and durable - they hardly 'complained' or loosened a single stitch when gently stuffing them to the brim.

My bag arrived just 3 days after ordering. It’s slightly bigger than I expected which is exactly what I was hoping for. It’s the perfect size for a short vacation and I plan to use it when coming/going at college. It also feels durable, like it would last me for years.

I have a lot of chronic health issues and am very sensitive to toxins. I am frequently disappointed at how many new products I purchase that come with the smell of toxic chemicals.

I know when I purchase from this company that the products I buy will be safer and less toxic than their mainstream counterparts. I am re-purchasing a duffel bag after my last one had mold exposure. I am very pleased with the quality of the material, cleanliness of the product, and array of color options.

I love that this company makes toxic free bags. We are constantly bombarded with chemicals in our food, water, clothes, and environment. It’s nice that this company makes their products without harmful chemicals so I don’t have to worry and me and my family being exposed to another toxic item in our home environment. Thanks!

Use it as a gym bag. Looks nice, plenty of room and it seems durable.

I love this canvas duffel bag so much because there is zero plastic. Zero. And no gross filmy chemical sheen inside. It's all organic cotton and metal hardware. I was so happy to have found it and then when I got it it was everything I had hoped it would be. And it’s very strong and thick and sturdy and of good quality. Nice size. The green color is as beautiful and rich as it looked online. I am so glad I bought this. Want to get more Terra Thread stuff.

I’ve been using this bag as my daily gym bag and it had been stuffed full and brought everywhere. It fits everything I need to get ready at the gym. Today, the bag finally broke as I was slinging the strap over my shoulder. Maybe I had too much stuff in it but the hook on the shoulder strap completely snapped in half. I’m very saddened by this new but I’m hoping to take it somewhere to get repaired.

I love that this bag is made from organic cotton and is non-toxic. However, the black color makes dust highly visible at all times. I would have returned it and chosen the sand dune color if I hadn’t already used the black one on my trip. That said, I’ve washed it twice, and it’s held up really well. Plus, it’s spacious enough for a short trip. Thank you :)

Very well made bag. Good size for traveling and constructed of what seems to be very durable cotton fabric. Curious to take it on my next trip.

My green and brown Bumi bags arrived the day before I needed them to my relief and delight. Now I can travel with all the attire I need for everyday wear and for camping. The zippers are strong and should last several years, as I pass these bags down to my children, when I no longer need them! Their appearance is rich with color and they are easy to carry from place to place. I am thrilled to find them without cancer causing chemicals, as this is all I found online and in stores previously. My one desire would be zippered pouches on the ends and front as I usually segregate my shoes and toiletries in these sections. Otherwise, these are the best bags I have ever had. Thankyou for putting so much work into making them last!

Went for one using repurposed materials. Also using cloth bags for gym clothes from gym and stopped using the plastic bags gym provides. All good.

Bumi Eco Duffel Bag

This is a great duffle bag! Perfect for overnighted or airport. Size is great and feel is great!

This says its 100% cotton , and I thought it would be a soft bag. Turns out the bag is just regular canvas made with organic cotton. Zipper rather rough zip and not very smooth as you would expect.

Why would I care if its organic considering I am not ingesting it and the bag wil be exposed to the elements anyway and absorb toxins as fabric does. ONLY reason I paid more than a regular canvas is because I thought it would be soft. This bag is an overpriced canvas bag and that is all. Save your money and buy a nora canvas bag for half the price. What a waste. I would love a refund to be honest , but its likely more hassle than its worth to send it back.
