Product Care
- To Plant: Use a pot with a drainage hole in the bottom. Place it on a saucer and fill with good potting soil. Water the soil so it’s moist but not soggy, and watch it grow! Plant the pencil at an angle and not too deep. The soil should just cover the seed capsule. Place the pot in natural light but avoid direct sunlight. A temperature of 20°C is ideal. Water regularly in the saucer. The first shoots should appear between one and four weeks later.

When I first saw these I thought it was so cool that you could plant them. I didn’t need any more pencils, but my sister had said that she wanted some graphite pencils, so these made a great gift. The price is the only downside, but quality over quantity I guess.

As someone who takes their pencils very seriously, I think I have the qualifications to make the claim that THESE ARE THE BEST PENCILS EVER!!!! They write amazingly and the fact that the left over nubs of them can grow into plants is BRILLIANT! I’m in love and you will be too once you give them to try! Also, wouldn’t these make such a cute gift for teachers?!?!?!
