Hemp Dog Harness Basic GREEN

I purchased this for my golden retriever. I wanted something soft that wouldn't dig into her skin and was comfortable without feeling confined. The edges are very soft along with the material itself. It is very well stitched and put together. This is the first harness I've ever purchased for a dog. A simple collar was all I needed, but this dog likes to protect our smaller dog, so I need to be able to hold her without her collar slipping off and running after other dogs or people. This works, she cannot get out of it and I don't feel I'm hurting her by holding on and pulling back. I feel this harness helps me to feel safer in that she can't get away.

This harness does twist about from side to side (as you can see in the photo) but not so much as to hurt her legs or chest. This part prevents me from giving it 5 stars, as I've seen others on dogs that stay put, but then again, they appear heavier and confining. I guess it's just personal preference.

I like knowing this is made in the USA, is adjustable and soft and not biting into my dog when she pulls. I feel it will last her lifetime, which are many years to come.

Love the harness, I have them in black, lime green now blue 🖤💚💙 I wish I could get a pink for my girl , but I love the fabric for sure too .

Making adjustments isn't super easy- especially around the girth if the buckle needs to go to the other side. I can't tell if it's my dog's weight fluctuating or the harness 'breaking in' but it occasionally needs adjusting. We definitely prefer the harness to a color when having to leash our dog. This serves that function well.

Finally got another one for my other dog, these things are heavy duty and clean up great in the wash.

I wanted a harness that was made with a sustainable but durable material. The only thing I didn't consider was the design of it. It does slide from side to side as mentioned in a previous comment. I have another harness for my other dog where he can step into it. This one requires you to put the harness on over the dog's head. My pup is still learning so it is a little more difficult to get on, especially when I'm rushing to get him outside before he makes a mess. I'm sure with a little more training, it'll be easy to put on and take off.

i switched to this harness because it avoids the extra pressure and pull around my dogs neck and under arms. the design is far better and it is soft. she does not protest about her harness anymore.
