Once it is full, secure the lid and return it using the included prepaid shipping label—the purchase covers the container, transportation, recycling charges, tracking tools, and a Certificate of Recycling.
Packaging
- In order to protect the box during shipment, your TerraCycle box will be wrapped in a plastic bag. When you receive your box, just put the plastic bag inside and TerraCycle will ensure it gets recycled properly!

Product Care
- Store the container upright in a cool, dry indoor location away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture, and children. Keep the lid closed between deposits and protect the container, liner, return label, and instructions from damage. Do not exceed the marked weight limit or alter the UN-certified container. If a battery is leaking, swollen, damaged, or otherwise unsafe, do not place it inside without first confirming proper handling requirements with TerraCycle.
End of Life
- Do not discard or empty the filled container locally. Seal it according to the supplied instructions and return the complete container through UPS using the prepaid label. At the processing facility, the batteries are inspected, sorted, sized, and processed to separate recoverable metals and metal oxides.
