Refillable Conditioner

As someone with thin, frizzy hair, this product helped my hair to feel pretty soft after use. However, my hair is still very frizzy, so I might try using a deep conditioner instead.

Conditioner works great. Not too heavy or greasy at all. Smells wonderful and the smell lasts (but isn't too strong)

I love Plaine Product's! They're my go to for hair products. Their options always smell great and you can easily use these bottles as is or fill into another container, which is great for travel. I also love that you can send the aluminum bottles back to them.

I like that this conditioner is lightweight and aloe vera based. It is great to use in place of shampoo in between washes and hydrates my scalp. I particularly love the vanilla mint because it really feels cleansing for a conditioner. I love the packaging and ease of sending containers back. A bottle also lasts me many months.

I've been looking for a shampoo the helps remove buildup, prevent split ends, and doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped or dried out. I washed my hair like I normally do, and this shampoo/conditioner set left it feeling super hydrated!!! My hair feels happy and healthy. 10/10, would absolutely purchase again.

Just did my first trip with this and it worked great, including zero trouble through airport security in multiple countries. The conditioner itself was slightly difficult to get out, required hitting the opening against my hand, but wasn't too bothersome. I love that the cap stays on tight so no leaks (major issue with plastic refillable travel containers). And I look forward to refilling from my larger container at home!

I like these a lot other than the fact that the shampoo doesn’t lather very much and that I need multiple pumps of the conditioner in order for my whole head of hair to actually be conditioned

Works and smells fantastic!

I don't love either of these. They feel "ok" on my scalp, though the shampoo seems a bit over drying so it's a bitch itchy afterwards. Also, these are I guess unscented, but the base scent of some of the ingredients is way strong. One of them (I think it's the shampoo) smells like you're inside a doublemint gum factory.

Works fine and is not in plastic. Extremely expensive though. Not sure we can keep buying it at this price given there are 3 of us with long hair so we go through shampoo quickly. But I'd like to, for environmental and health reasons.

The rosemary mint vanilla has a bit of a strange smell. If I get it again I'll try the other scent.

Very happy with this product. Skip the plastic pump because it's not necessary for shampoo and conditioner (body lotion--maybe yes). I feel very happy to return these bottles so they can be reused rather than end up in a landfill. Looking forward to more products like this so we can reduce waste.

I had been using shampoo and conditioner bars for about three years, they worked well but always took quite a bit of time to lather up. Plaine Product's shampoo and conditioner have reduced the minutes I would spend lathering my bar to a point that I could actually condition my hair with it. The conditioner has a perfect consistency - thick enough to thoroughly detangle and moisturize my hair, but not too thick that it takes forever to wash out, and the Rosemary, Mint, Vanilla scent is unique and relaxing. They are a bit pricey, but to be honest they are about on par with (if not a bit cheaper than) high end, special salon brand shampoo and conditioner that I would purchase years ago before I began trying to use more natural and sustainable products. Knowing that this brand has a refill system and a take back program, and the fact that aluminum is one of the best/easiest materials to recycle if need be make me feel this is a good alternative for those who don't want to use conditioner bars. This is my new go to conditioner.

Smells great, super sustainable, bottle a little smaller than I thought it’d be but not by a lot. Very happy with this product!!!

I've been looking for a sustainable liquid shampoo/conditioner options (My hair is getting too long for bar conditioner), and I love the ingredients and packaging of this product. Both the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing. The shampoo is a good product and I do like it, but for the price I can easily go back to bar shampoo. The conditioner is where most of the problems are - I have to use a LOT of it to get my hair smooth, and it makes my hair feel like there's a coating of something on it. It also doesn't seem to prevent knots after the shower and I'm constantly having to brush my hair out. I also know the bottle sizing is listed, but I ignored it, and was shocked when my $60 shampoo and conditioner came in these small bottles. For the price and for the conditioner quality, I will look elsewhere for my next hair product purchase. I wish it was better because I love the sustainability of it!

I love this shampoo and conditioner. I ordered unscented because I was pregnant at the time and super sensitive to fragrances. I wash my hair every other day and these have lasted me over six months already, and I still have a decent amount left in each bottle. I also love that the bottles can be returned for free and recycled. I've been trying to switch to more eco-friendly products, and I felt like shampoo and conditioner bars didn't last long enough for what I paid for them. I love that these still feel like using a traditional shampoo or conditioner because they come in a bottle with a pump, but I don't have to feel bad because the bottle is made of aluminum and can be recycled infinitely.

I love that this comes in aluminum bottles and that they are refillable. I'm willing to spend the money for that. But, the shampoo is average. I find that it strips my hair more than other products. And the conditioner was not at all conditioning enough for my long, fine hair. It smells amazing though. I did use it all but would not buy it again. I've found certain shampoo bars/conditioner bars work better for me than this. All in all, the shampoo is alright and I might consider buying it again, but the conditioner was not for me.

I will forever keep this small travel dispensers! They carry more than you think!

Sure, it is expensive, but it is totally worth it!

I have curly hair (type 2c, 3a), prone to over-moisturizing. I started with the travel kit size to test out the product before purchasing a larger size.

Scent: I loved the vanilla mint scent it was not too over-powering.
Shampoo: Great option as a regular shampoo for curly hair. On my hair I didn't need to use a lot of it.
Conditioner: I only had to use a little bit on my hair as it's a bit fine, but it didn't weigh down my hair.

Great sustainable option for curly hair (which is super hard to find).

I wish I liked shampoo bars for the less wasteful packaging but this pairs well With the shampoo and I like the reusable/recyclable bottles. Scent is undetectable.

I had been using a slightly gimmicky apple cider vinegar shampoo from Costco for a while and felt my hair was not as shiny and healthy looking as it used to be. First time using this, I noticed a positive difference as soon as my hair dried. I even had my roommate ask me where he could get some, and he is very picky about his shampoos because he has a perm, but he just loved how his hair looked after trying it.

Love this as much as the shampoo! great option if you don't like conditioner bars or feel like they can take longer to use

I like that they are not plastic. The smell is nice/mild and not overwhelming (I usually hate scent), and they cleaned my hair nicely.

Best natural shampoo and conditioner I've ever used. Love love love the refillable bottles for less waste. I highly suggest this product!

I ordered Plaine Products shampoo and conditioner after I was having relentless issues with flaky scalp, to the point it was turning into sores on my head. I was looking for something with "clean" ingredients that would clean my hair without totally stripping it. I was nervous to commit to these since it's a little pricey, but I love the idea of returning and reusing the bottles instead of continuously generating more waste with every shampoo/conditioner bottle. I am SO GLAD I bought these. They lather great, smell great, and get my hair clean without drying out my scalp too much. Cannot recommend them enough, since they're a great eco-friendly solution AND the product is better than half the stuff I get at the drugstore. I also go through a lot less product since you don't need a lot to get a good lather, so I'm spending about the same over time that I did on "normal" shampoos and conditioners.

One of the two pumps does not work. However, I am committed to reducing waste and am thrilled with the metal, returnable containers. I am very happy with both shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of sudsing for my preference and my hair (thin and tending to fly- away) is smooth and shiny.

Great! It lathers a lot more than anticipated. It also is a little smaller bottles than I would like but I anticipate it will just encourage me to use less product

I love that the bottles are returned and refilled and that I don't have to get a new pump each time. Very sustainable! The scents are great. The shampoo works very well. The conditioner doesn't work that well on medium to long hair. Have to use twice as much as other brands to get the knots out of my hair.
I used to get my shampoo and conditioner from a store called The Refill Shoppe, but when COVID hit, they wouldn't allow one to bring in their containers to refill. So, this conditioner will have to do until I can refill at the local store again. These are also more costly than the refills locally. But for those who do not have such a shop, this is a great option.

I really enjoyed the shampoo and conditioner set. I have been buying natural shampoo and conditioner for years now so my hair adapted well to this product but not my families. They all said it smelled great but they weren't used to using natural shampoo or conditioner. It lasts a long time so great value. I will buy this product again!
