these bags do not fit in my 13 gallon kitchen trash can. Also, they are extremely thin and burst open when I tried to lift them out of the can. Too flimsy.

In the Bay Area, though they are advertised as “compostable”, local facilities are reporting they are not and recommend AGAINST putting in your compost bins and collection cans.

Rapidly degrade

I initially was worried it would be too small, too weak, too thin. I’m happy to report all worries have went away! They have been great so far!

These bags are reliable and strong! Many compost bags split as soon as they come off the roll but these are reliable and hold up well.

Happy to reduce my plastic purchases using these bags. I live in rural area so have to transport trash to local dump. If I leave full bags in can outside for a week they fall apart so they definitely degrade!

We've been using Biobags for five years or more to collect and dispose of our kitchen garbage. Organic matter goes to the backyard compost heap; recyclables go out on their assigned days for collection. This is for the rest of what's collected that will biodegrade over time. It's good to know the container of this stuff will start it quickly on its journey into biomass.

These are good bags. They are less strong than conventional bags but being compostable makes it worth it. You just need to be careful when taking out the trash.

These bags take as much volume of garbage as plastic ones of the same size, and they are compostable, unlike plastic. A great option.

Plastic is a toxic substance we have taken for granted. Almost everything we buy to eat is wrapped in the stuff - we must all do what we can to eradicate this stuff. Use glass jars and silicone bags to store/freeze food. I feel better knowing these bags will compost. Thanks earthhero.com!

It holds just enough before you need to get it outside and the filter contains the smell

I love these bags. They are strong enough for everyday use and good for the environment.

They are somewhat thinner than traditional trash bags. Make sure you don’t overfill or the bag could tear or be difficult to close. This is a great swap for plastic trash bags!

These bags are fantastic, I use them as my regular trash bags and they very rarely rip. Definitely a regular purchase.

These have been great, sturdy, and fit well. We have had a couple issues with holes when something particularly pokey is in them, as they are thinner, but even when they have a hole, it does not spread and holds together quite well.

I have been using bio bags for the past 3 years. I like that these bags are compostable, and I only put food scraps in it. I feel good using it.

This are great! Big for our kitchen trash can. They are perfect and nice and thick! Haven’t had any issues with them!

I’ve used bio bags forever for dog waste and I’ve never had an issue with strength. The trash bags however always rip. I don’t know what it is but if you’re putting food waste in your trash bags please make sure to empty out the bin more often. These bags can’t handle a slight stuffing of more trash.

Someday we will abolish single-use plastic, and this is a great step in that direction! If you're like me and can't compost, I recommend the 3 gallon bio-bags for wetter (not liquid) trash. Then I place those little bags into one of these big ones. That helps avoid leaking. Eventually I hope there will be thicker bags available for people who can't have their own compost and don't have compost collection centers available. But these are great if you are able to compost and only use these large bags for dry trash.

But they are flimsy, easily tear, and I have to double bag to stop garbage spillage.☹️

These are okay. They could be a little heavier. I can tolerate that knowing I’m contributing to a cleaner world.
