Bamboo
As a member of the grass family, bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on earth. It requires no irrigation, pesticides or fertilizers to grow, and can be harvested within 3-5 years, as compared to approximately 30+ years for traditional hardwoods. Bamboo is extremely adaptable and produces more oxygen per acre than large tree species, while using a fraction of the water to grow. Its durable and lightweight qualities make bamboo a great alternative for hard wood products!

This brand works with Plastic Bank to measure, reduce, and offset their plastic usage by funding recycling and ocean cleanup efforts in underdeveloped communities around the world. This means that in addition to helping clean up our oceans, they're also investing in recycling infrastructure in developing nations. A brand's partnership with Plastic Bank involves offsetting various amounts of their plastic usage, from partial, to full (plastic neutral) or even offsetting more plastic than they produce (plastic negative).

Recycled Plastic
Recycling is the process of taking an otherwise-discarded item or material and cleaning, sorting, and breaking it down into its basic form (such as fibers or pellets). This material is then used to produce new items. Recycling keeps useful materials from being discarded in landfills, prevents resource extraction due to the creation of new materials, and provides a new life for used items. Recycling can utilize both pre-consumer waste (materials left over from production) or post-consumer materials (used clothing, empty water bottles, etc). Recycled plastic utilizes salvaged post-industrial plastic scraps and post-consumer products such as water bottles and other plastic containers, and transforms them into new products. The containers are sorted, crushed, and then heated to form resins, which are liquid plastics that can harden into new shapes. These resins can be molded and used to create anything from carpet to outdoor furniture. Recycling plastic lowers the amount of petroleum extracted and the production of greenhouse gasses associated with first-time plastic production. Plus, by using these existing materials, we're benefiting from the original energy and resources spent to create them in the first place, while diverting waste from the landfill.

Customers praised this eco-friendly bamboo dish brush and ceramic dish set for its effective cleaning and attractive design. Many appreciated the spring mechanism that creates bubbles, though some found it can consume soap quickly if water remains in the dish. Shoppers noted strong bristles work well on stuck-on food and pans, but may struggle with corners and deep glasses. Several mentioned bristles can fray over time.

Another great way to use bamboo

New way to keep dish soap and brush ready to use. Brush design feels nice to pick up and use. Good looking bamboo. Good looking ceramic dish. The design works…bubbles up easily.

Adorable and effective!

I love this little scrubber set! It works well, and is a lot easier to use than constantly having to wet and soap up a sponge only to clean it out after use. Would highly recommend!

cute dish wash helper

I love how it looks and works. Great when you only have a pan to wash up and don't need to fill the sink with water.

Love this dish brush and soap dish!

I am always looking for more eco friendly products for my home, without compromising quality and performance. This product definitely delivers and I think the price is very affordable. I've already recommended this to all my friends!

Works okay

I wouldn't buy this again. It's a nice dish to hold the soap and the mechanism does work to get bubbles, but if there is water left in there, then the soap gets used up super quick. I am finding it more effective to just press the sponge or brush against the soap and then wash, without using the springy thing.

Works Great Looks Great

I like using this scrub brush way more than a sponge. The little dish that it comes with makes it look neat and tidy by the sink. The springy part of the dish really helps create a foamy soapiness and I feel like i use less soap and water when using this. Overall great product that I wish I had purchased a long time ago.

Great Dish Washing Option

I use solid dish soap and simply cut a small piece that fits under the spring, add water and it works very well. It's hard to use solid dish soap on a brush cleaner so I just love this.

Works well, the bristles did

Works well, the bristles did come a little frayed looking but it's not too obvious. Like the canister to put it back in when done.

Pretty great

This is almost perfect. It doesn't clean everything well though. There are times I need a cloth or sponge to get into deep glasses or wine glasses. It also takes a bit more scrubbing than a regular sponge. I do love the set up though and that I don't have to keep adding more soap.

Bubble Fun

This is kind of fun, it makes my kiddos want to help do the dishes.

Not too bad

Like another reviewer, I use solid dish soap so I don't actually use the bubble function of this setup. That being said I do like the fact that the scrubber isn't sitting in water and any liquid can run off into the dish. There have been a couple of times I wished it was a slightly different shape or size to get into particular areas, I have always managed to clean whatever dish or utensil in the sink.

Different although liking it

Easy to hold, is a little hard to get corners depending on how the pot/pan/dish is shaped. Little harder to get baked on food off with it. Like the spring action to make bubbles.

I don't think this cleans

I don't think this cleans as well as a regular dish sponge. I'm using the same dish soap but it takes longer to get greasy messes clean. Also uses more soap and water. It's also really loud compared to using a sponge. I find it difficult to get the corners of pans clean with it. I'm hoping I can clean it well and donate but I won't be keeping it. I also saw that it shouldn't go in the dishwasher so I'm not sure how it could be sanitized.

Hi Stephanie, we are sorry that this dish brush isn't working as you had hoped! It is definitely different compared to a sponge, but both have their pros and cons and some people prefer one over the other. We have found that soaking the bristles in a vinegar and water solution is an easy way to sanitize these bristles when needed without damaging the bamboo. Please let us know if you have any questions at [email protected]!

Works beyond dishes

I bought this product for my mom and was pleasantly surprised when I discovered this spring that helps the brush get sudsy. I even tried using it on my counters and it works like a charm.

Love using this for both

Love using this for both easy and hard-to-scrub dishes. We use this with the block of soap instead of liquid, so we only use the dish to hold the brush. Only critique is that the brush bristles are starting to get a bit worn/bending and we haven't had it for more than 6 months, but it still works really well. All in all we like the product a lot.

Best scrub brush

Really helps to clean out my mini muffin pan which was a really annoying process before this brush.

Love it!

I love this brush and the ceramic dish. I like that the dish has an insert to keep things nice and dry. There was a little bit of plastic included in the packaging, but other than that I'm very satisfied!

Love it!

This is a very well made product. My solid soap from Meliora fits perfectly inside the dish, and everything looks nice on my countertop. I love how strong the bristles are, and how the brush suds up my soap well.

Seems good

I like that it is somewhat minimalistic. I'm trying to use up sponges and such from my stock pile and therefore haven't used this much so far. But I like it's appearance and it works well. Simple. I think the packaging was strong, if I recall correctly.

Is the brush dishwasher safe or recyclable?

Customer

Hi Heather! This brush can definitely stand up to a few dishwasher trips, but we don't recommend prolonged exposure. The brush is not recyclable, but we love how it is made of recycled plastic and reduces the need for virgin plastics!

What is in the base of the ceramic dish? Is it intended to hold solid dish soap?

Customer

Hi there! The base of this dish is fully ceramic and it is best used with liquid soap over solid. Inside the dish is a recycled plastic springboard that when pressed, dispenses the perfect amount of soap onto the brush. Thank you for asking!
