These work great for throwing away litterbox scoopings. I was interested in finding small bags that are not plastic to throw away. The bags are thin but that's not a problem for what I use them for.

In the Bay Area, though they are advertised as “compostable”, local facilities are reporting they are not and recommend AGAINST putting in your compost bins and collection cans.

I was hoping for sturdier bags. I have used something similar before and had problems keeping them secured in my compost can.

I’m using the bags made from 100% recycled plastic to separate, load, and transport clothing and textiles to donation centers in my local community. The bags are able to hold about 20lbs of fabric without tearing or breaking! I’m impressed!

I use these as my bags for fruits and vegetables at the grocery store. I will reuse them until they break or get wet and then compost them. They are quite small, so if using it for a compost bin it would have to be a very tiny bin.

I try very hard to be as responsible as I can plastic. I use paper bags at the grocery store and a buy these bags because they are compostable. It’s a wonderful alternative to plastic bags which take a lifetime to break down.

Like the bags' biodegradability.

I love these bags. I use them for my disposable guinea pig bedding when I'm cleaning their cages. I use the 3 gallon bags to transport the bedding outside to my big compost can! I appreciate they come in a box of 100 so I can purchase them less often.

This is a repeat order for me. These bags are the liner for my kitchen compost bucket. When full, I tie it up, then transfer the bag to a larger bucket and walk it to our neighborhood compost bin. They work great!

I love these bags and use them for my kitchen compost pail, small trash bins, and anytime I need a miscellaneous bag. Absolutely love that they're compostable, and they never rip! They will get damp if the bag is not changed often enough or there is a lot of wet trash inside, but they're the sturdiest compostable bags I've ever used.

So exciting to discover non-plastic refuse bags! If you use them for compost, they will work perfectly. I use these as regular trash bags, because I can't compost in the area I'm living currently, but they still work great for my family of 2. We use about 3-5 per week. We live in a warm place where roaches thrive, so these small bags are perfect to keep everything sealed up. Since I'm not using them as intended, if I put too much wet material in the first bag of the week, it will leak. To avoid any mess, as we fill these little bags, I place them inside a larger 13 gal bio-bag. I'm really looking forward to living somewhere I can compost, but I'm happy with this system for now!

Do not hold up very well.

This is the second time I've purchased these compost bags we love them, they're plastic Free, come in recyclable packaging, and they're reasonably priced.
