Product Care
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ideal storage temperature is 60-75°F (15-24°C). Do not store in bathroom if it gets very warm or humid.
- Melting: Tallow has a melting point of approximately 95-105°F (35-40°C). If balm liquefies during warm weather or shipping, this is completely normal and does not affect quality or efficacy. Simply place in refrigerator for 30-60 minutes to re-solidify.
- Natural Scent: While unscented (no added fragrance), the balm may have a very mild, natural tallow scent that dissipates quickly upon application. This is normal and indicates pure, unrefined ingredients.
- Hygiene: Always use clean, dry hands or a small spatula to scoop product from jar to prevent contamination. Avoid introducing water into the jar.
- Shelf Life: Best used within 12 months of opening. The natural vitamin E acts as a preservative. If you notice any off-odor or color change, discontinue use.
- Patch Test: If you have very sensitive skin or allergies, perform a patch test on inner arm before facial use.
