Elegant and eco-friendly (but reinvented for the modern mama), the Gilda Maternity Bra from Underprotection is an instant classic. Made from sustainable materials like Italian lace and mesh created from recycled nylon and recycled elastane, this eco-luxe bra is certified vegan by PETA and ethically manufactured from start to finish. It features medium support, wide adjustable straps, and hook and eye fastenings at the back. Plus, Underprotection is a Certified B Corp!
B Corp
The B Lab is a third-party, non-profit organization that certifies companies as socially and environmentally responsible. B Corps are businesses that go above and beyond traditional business models and aim to create positive change in the world through their practices. These companies must meet rigorous transparency and accountablity standards, while doing what is best for people and the environment.

Compostable
This product contains material that can break down into soil in either a backyard or industrial composting system. These products are declared compostable by the manufacturer, but may not third-party certified. Contact your local waste-hauler or composting facility to determine where these materials may be accepted. Certain materials may be better fit for industrial facilities than backyard composting systems. Industrial facilities may not exist in your area.

Recycled Content
Recycling is the process of taking an otherwise-discarded item or material and cleaning, sorting, and breaking it down into its basic form (such as fibers or pellets). This material is then used to produce new items. Recycling keeps useful materials from being discarded in landfills, prevents resource extraction due to the creation of new materials, and provides a new life for used items. Recycling can utilize both pre-consumer waste (materials left over from production) or post-consumer materials (used clothing, empty water bottles, etc).

Itchy and Unflattering

I was really hoping to like this, so I have a more stylish maternity bra. I tried a few times to wear this more than 1 hour, but the material is so scratchy it itches and does not make you feel relaxed enough to focus on getting life done.

Hi Anne, we appreciate your feedback and will relay this inormation over to the manufacturer.
