When I say that this changed my life I’m not exaggerating! My family always favored plastic bags to reusable containers growing up, so this is the absolute perfect alternative!

Works great! Have used in fridge, freezer. Once used for leftover rice and I heated it back up by putting the bag directly in the pot of boiling water on the stove. Best alternative to a plastic baggie.

My collection is starting to grow. I have these bags all over for everything from sewing supplies to battery’s besides just holding food. Being able to order black soothes my little gothic heart. 🖤
I am in deep need of more sizes of black stasher bags. Need some gallon and stand up size in black ⚫ I can’t wait to get more

My Stasher bag collection continues to grow and I’m very happy with that! They are re-usable, easy to throw in the dishwasher and keep clean, have many usages (from storing to cooking, from freezer to oven or microwave) and they last a long while.
The sandwich size is the most versatile. I use it to store small portions of meats and veggies/fruits in the freezer. I use it for leftovers in the fridge. I use it to carry snacks, from rice cakes, to carrots, sugar snap peas, crackers, puffs. I use it for bread and sandwiches; the bag fits regular sized sandwich bread, but it’s too large for thin sliced small portioned ones and not big enough for super-sized slices; if you make huge over-stuffed sandwiches, they won’t fit in the bag.
Besides storing bread, the bag is great for reheating stale or frozen bread in the oven. I pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees, put the bread/buns locked in the bag for 7-8 minutes and get back crusty warm delicious bread. I bet it works for (non-glazed) donuts and pastries as well.
I also cooked eggs in the sandwich size bags, both in the microwave and in boiled water. The eggs are really fluffy when cooked in the Stasher bags.

Love this reusable bag! a little sad that it doesn’t fit a sandwich very well (i mean it fits a sandwich its just hard to get it through the opening), but we have just decided to use it for other things. We LOVE how versatile it is with being able to boil and freeze it!

I reuse old Ziploc bags for non-food items. But I use Stashers for food, which I don’t prefer to store in plastic. (Plastic contains harmful chemicals.) I was impressed by the durability of the bags, how easily I can clean them, and how tightly they seal. They’re more durable and seal more reliably than Ziploc bags. I don’t trust that Ziploc bags will keep my clothing clean in a suitcase if my toiletries leak. But I would trust that a Stasher would keep the liquid contained. Plus, Ziplocs often rip along the seams on the sides after a few uses, but my Stashers have been going strong for seven months without any issues. I see some people saying that they don’t dry quickly. I haven’t had that experience. I don’t use a dishwasher, but they wash and dry well when I hand wash. Plus, Ziplocs take days to dry (I wash mine to reuse) whereas I just leave my Stasher out overnight. So if you’re reusing whatever you have, then I think you’ll actually have much more trouble washing and drying Ziploc bags because they stick to themselves and trap water inside, whereas with Stashers the water drains right out because the bags have structure. Anyway, I would recommend them! I would repurchase.

Love my stasher bags, I mainly use them for storage and meal prep rather than toting around food throughout my day. If that’s your main use for these bags, I would get the stand up bag as it can hold more different shapes of food than their other styles.

I will start off with that it’s a very high quality product. After using a few times noticed some issues. I got a sandwich size one because I like having sandwiches but didn’t want to use a bulky container. The stasher looks big enough but the opening isn’t as big. I cannot use that size for a sandwich because I cannot get the sandwhich into the bag (will admit that I put a lot in my sandwhich but doesn’t even fit length of bread). If you air dry your dishes, this will take longer. Water gets trapped in corners and inside if you don’t leave it open wide enough. Again, high quality product and better alternative to zip lock.

These are kind of pricey, so I’m taking my time with building up my stash, but I absolutely love these bags! I’ve noticed that meats I keep stored in my Stasher bags keep longer than those stored in Ziplock bags (by several days). They also freeze really well, and I haven’t had any leak issues. My personal favorite is that they’re dishwasher friendly! Before, I would wash my Ziplock bags by hand to get more use out of them, but they would only survive one or two washes because the plastic is so flimsy. Stasher bags save my time, my food, and the planet! I can’t wait until I have more money to buy more.

This has been another good buy. I use this mainly to freeze my fruit. There is no leakage and they are easy to clean. I do not clean them in a dishwasher so I don’t know how long they would last that way, but they seem sturdy and I will definitely be buying more in different sizes soon so I will not have to use single use zip lock bags.

I use these mainly to make smoothie packs for the week. They hold up wonderful in the freezer unlike regular Ziploc bags. My only issue is that they are a bit of pain to wash/dry even in the dishwasher because water tends to get stuck in between the ‘lip’ of the bag. But having said that, they seal extremely well and will not leak! These are definitely an investment but I will continue to buy them.

For those who have used this. Has anyone noticed if their food tastes off after multiple uses? I’ve tried stuff like this before but have had that result happen so I was wondering if it was the same for this product.

Hi, Anna! Great question – Grace from EH here! I have a few Stashers myself and was worried about this, too! Luckily, the silicone Stasher uses is nonporous, which fights bacterial growth and odors! Certain really smelly foods leave a slight odor, but I’ve found that hot water washing and soaking with baking soda does wonders! For super tough smells, tossing a slice of lemon inside overnight is great as well 🙂 I hope this helps!

I had gotten two (re)zip PEVA reusable bags a while ago but wanted another bag so decided to try going the silicone route, especially since I’ve heard so much about Stasher. This bag is wonderful and I find it very leak-proof. It feels a lot more durable than the PEVA bags and I ended up getting the half-gallon bag from Stasher as well. Would definitely recommend!

I love having reusable bags so I don’t have to use little plastic sandwich bags. I use these for big protein cookies (one is a serving so I cut it in half and stash the uneaten portion for the next day). I love that they come in different colors, but they’re surprisingly expensive for just one. It would probably cost a lot (but maybe save you more over time?) to buy a bunch, but if you need a lot because you use many plastic bags, you’re going to spend a bit up front. Still, I’ve only needed one so far and it works great.

I love my stasher bags! They are very study and the clear ones are great for airport security!
At times they can be difficult to open because they seal so well and there is not a very big lip on the bag to grab when pulling open, but overall it is worth the investment.

I travel fairly regularly for work and love this size Stasher as an alternative to quart size plastic bag to carry small toiletries through security. With the thickness of the silicone and solid seal, I have confidence that if anything inside leaks, it won’t ruin other items in my carry-on luggage.

I love that it is reusable. The small size is nice for smaller items. However I was surprised the opening is so small. It doesn’t allow for fat items. It is difficult to not smash things or scrape ingredients etc off the item. I don’t want pieces of food stuck to the zipper part. Overall I was fairly happy with the product BUT was quite saddened by the packaging. It had unnecessary paperboard for marketing purposes on the inside of the bag. The bags were open and not covered much by the packaging. It’s like the manufacturer just wanted the food picture inside the bag and didn’t care if it got a little dusty before the customer received it.

They close like zip lock bag, but are not single use and will last a very very long time. The bag is spacious enough to put lots of stuff in it.
For cleaning I hand wash and slip the bag over a glass to keep it open and let dry.
We really like these and got three to use.

Great question! Those bags are super easy to hand wash. To deep-clean corners, fill the bag 1/4th of the way with warm water and soap and shake gently. If the bag gets super messy, here’s a 5 step process to really deep clean those bags:
1. Rinse the inside of your stasher with hot water to loosen and wash out any remaining food debris.
2. Create an all-natural yet effective cleaning solution with equal parts baking soda, distilled white vinegar, and lemon juice. The baking soda will help with stains and smells, the vinegar will kill bacteria, and the lemon juice will cut grease while leaving a fresh scent.
3. Apply your mixture all over the inside of your stasher and let it soak for 20-30 minutes. (It may help to lay it horizontally, and to flip it over half-way through.)
4. When your soak is complete and stains are gone, rinse your stasher bag thoroughly with warm water.
5. Set the bag on your drying rack, or towel dry by hand for best results.
It’s recommended to not flip your Stasher inside out, as that can weaken the seams along the edges (though it’s tempting!)

It’s awesome that they’re microwave safe, oven safe, endlessly reusable, dishwasher safe, the list goes on and on. I wish even more people knew about them because they are such an amazing product!! I have spoken with the company and the people who run it are so kind and caring and overall the company is just great. They’re a little bit of an investment but oh so worth it!! Stasher bags are usually known for their ability to cook/freeze/microwave/and store food, but I actually fell in love with my Stasher bag for a different purpose! I travel often, and need to bring my makeup different places. In the past I’ve used cotton makeup bags, but almost EVERY single time my makeup/toothpaste would spill and stain the cotton bag.
After I heard that Stasher bags are dishwasher washable, I immediately fell in love. I now pack all the spill-y, goopy products in two sandwich Stasher bags, and go! If anything spills, it doesn’t make it out of the bag, and all I have to do is throw it in the dishwasher. Plus, the clear, thin bags are perfect for TSA-Checking at the airport, and make it easy to distinguish between the makeup bag, and the toothpaste/skincare bag when I’m in a rush!

Becki from EarthHero here–I bought one of these the moment we received them at our office and I absolutely love it! I love that it flattens out and can fold up in my purse–it has already helped me say no to multiple styrofoam or plastic take-out containers. Plus, it’s super convenient to pop the whole bag in the microwave to heat up leftovers (especially on road trips so I don’ t need to eat gas-station snacks). The silicone is really easy to wash and the amethyst color is adorable.

I wish you’d show a picture of the opening of these as well on your site. How do they open? Is it a lid or a Ziploc type of closing??
(0) (0)
EarthHero (verified owner) –
Hey Nancy, great question! We just added another photo to the product page above, you can see how the bag opens by clicking on the third photo. These bags have a similar zip system as traditional ziplock bags, just made from silicone! We’ve tested the seal by filling it with water and shaking the bag upside down and it held tight. Hope that helps!
