Plastic Bank Partner
This brand works with Plastic Bank to measure, reduce, and offset their plastic usage by funding recycling and ocean cleanup efforts in underdeveloped communities around the world. This means that in addition to helping clean up our oceans, they’re also investing in recycling infrastructure in developing nations. A brand’s partnership with Plastic Bank involves offsetting various amounts of their plastic usage, from partial, to full (plastic neutral) or even offsetting more plastic than they produce (plastic negative).

B Corps are businesses that go above and beyond traditional business models and aim to create positive change in the world through their practices. These companies must meet rigorous transparency and accountablity standards, while doing what is best for people and the environment.
BPA Free
Products that are labeled as BPA free do not contain Bisphenol A, a chemical commonly found in plastic products. Studies on BPA exposure have shown that high levels of BPA could lead to hormone disruption, effects on behavior and brain function, reproductive problems, breast cancer, heart disease, infertility, and more.
Bamboo
As a member of the grass family, bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on earth. It requires no irrigation, pesticides or fertilizers to grow, and can be harvested within 3-5 years, as compared to approximately 30+ years for traditional hardwoods. Bamboo is extremely adaptable and produces more oxygen per acre than large tree species, while using a fraction of the water to grow. Its durable and lightweight qualities make bamboo a great alternative for hard wood products!
Recycled Plastic
Recycled plastic utilizes salvaged post-industrial plastic scraps and post-consumer products such as water bottles and other plastic containers, and transforms them into new products. The containers are sorted, crushed, and then heated to form resins, which are liquid plastics that can harden into new shapes. These resins can be molded and used to create anything from carpet to outdoor furniture. Recycling plastic lowers the amount of petroleum extracted and the production of greenhouse gasses associated with first-time plastic production. Plus, by using these existing materials, we’re benefiting from the original energy and resources spent to create them in the first place, while diverting waste from the landfill.
Tired of built-up grime at the bottom of bottles and jars ruining your flavors? With the Clean Reach Replaceable Full Circle Bottle Brush, cleaning out bottles is easier than ever. The long bamboo handle reaches deep into tight spaces to keep your favorite bottles clean, bright, and drinkable. The BPA-Free recycled plastic bristles are extra-durable, lasting for years, with replaceable heads for minimal waste!

This brush is lightweight so doesn’t stand upright very well on the counter. But it cleans our water bottles just fine, so I don’t mind it. I like the replaceable head aspect, and the bamboo handle looks nice. Only downside is it takes some pushing to get it into our bottles that don’t have a wide opening. So this may not be an option if yours is on the smaller side.

normally (before becoming more eco friendly) I buy dollar tree plastic brushes and replace them every 6months when they get grimy, this seems to be one step up from that since it is made from recycled plastic and you get to reuse the handle. It is a couple bucks more but it’s something I can feel good about and since it’s slightly more expensive it will push me to make a conscious effort to keep it clean and use it for longer. I would prefer a compostable brush but this is a step in the right direction
Also, gets the job done well 👍

Question
Kristen –
Can the old head be recycled when it’s time to replace it?

EarthHero –
Hi Kristen – we love the replaceable aspect of this bottle brush to reduce waste! However, due to the mixed materials in the heads, this cannot be recycled when it is time to be replaced.

Good brush, works well. I like that the head is removable to cut down on waste. I find that these type of brushes last me a long time too.

I think this brush works very well. I was a bit skeptical after reading the complaints about the shape of the brush head, but I needed to quickly replace a broken brush and wanted to opt for a slightly more eco friendly version. This fit the bill! It cleans well and I love how I can replace the heads as needed without having to replace the entire brush.

I guess I don’t understand what others have said about the bristles. I think it works well. I like that the head is replaceable.

Question
Claire –
would the brush fit in a bottle with a neck diameter of 3/4”? thank you!

EarthHero –
Hi Claire, this bottle brush will not fit into a bottle with a 3/4 diameter bottle. We recommend this brush from Redecker for bottles with thin necks!

I have found this brush to be greatly helpful in cleaning jars like one for peanut butter before recycling. The stiff bristles and the shape of the head make it really easy to use in containers with wide openings, although it does not 100% reach all parts of a container due to its design. Like others have mentioned, the shape of the head doesn’t make it super effective at cleaning bottles, though. For example, I find it hard to completely clean the bottom of my 40 oz water bottle with the top part of the brush head. Personally I’d go for something more rounded for bottles, but it’s great at helping remove gunk from other containers!

So I love the idea of being able to change out the head on this bottle brush and I really like some of the other products from this company but I am just not loving this brush as much as I would like and to be honest I am going to be looking for another bottle brush to try. I think maybe part of it for me is the shape of the actual brush head, I think I would like a bottle brush with a bit of a more round top then this one its kinda flat and maybe another reason its not my favorite. Still love the concept and some of my other products from this company.

I’ve tried a few different-though cheap- bottle brushes and I’m glad I purchased this. It gets the job done fast and I love the replaceable head idea-though I’m still on the first head, which looks like it’ll last a while for me. I like that the bristles on the sides stick out further and at an angle to scrub the corners of glasses well.

I love it has replacement brushes but I would like extra bottom bristles to clean the bottom more efficiently

Would like extra bristles angled to scrub the bottom edges. And I haven’t figures out how I would change the replaceable head.
Otherwise, it’s a functional brush

I like this bottle brush because it just feels built to last with satisfactory quality. The bamboo handle feels solid on the grip and the bristles are think and soft. Just too one star off because it could be longer to reach in more large jugs (1/2 gallon mason jars) and it could have a hook to hang it up.

I absolutely love this brush and it works great cleaning the bottles. I even use it to scrub small plates and such if they’re not too dirty and need a quick rinse.

I had been searching for the perfect bottle brush for a long time. I bought one that wouldn’t suds up at all, another that didn’t fit in some bottles. So, in the end, I was just looking for ANY bottle brush that would actually clean. And I found that with this one. It actually cleans! And I love that I can keep the handle and get head replacements. Great purchase!

Question
Andrea Boyles –
Can this brush be used for a standard baby bottle?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
EarthHero –
Hi Andrea! This brush is great for cleaning bottles, but the bristles may be too stiff to full fit a baby bottle. You may be interested in this one instead (it’s plastic-free!). 😀

I will say I like this brush but I didn’t realize that the bristles were all nylon and not compostable. I could have gone to Walmart and gotten a 2 dollar version. This bottle also doesn’t have a hole in the handle for a lanyard for hanging up so that’s a bit annoying. Not earthhero’s fault obviously but I just don’t have counter space for this item. Not very enviromental IMO.

Hi there! Thank you for your review. 🙂 We’re sorry you’re not feeling top-notch with your purchase! While not plastic-free, this brush, made by Full Circle, was made with the environment in mind. The bamboo handle helps reduce the overall amount of plastic (and keeps countertops looking classy!), while the replaceable head means fewer “new” brushes must be purchased! Also, Full Circle is a certified B-Corp company which means the brush was made in extremely ethical and safe environments with high sustainability standards. 😀

Question
Dee –
Hi, EarthHero! Could you please specify how wide the scrub brush’s neck is? I’d like to understand what’s the narrowest bottle size it can fit into.

EarthHero –
Hi Dee! Here are the dimensions for this brush: 2.36 in. x 2.36 in. x 11.41 in. The head is 2.36in across, so that should give you an idea of what type of water bottle this will fit into. 🙂

I have been using this brush to clean my water bottles for a couple weeks now. It is incredibly hogh quality and sturdy. The brush head stays on and won’t fall off. The bristles are stiff enough to remove dirt and debris, but soft enough to not damage. This has made dish washing a lot easier.

This is the best scrub brush I’ve ever used. It fits down in most things and is lasting nicely. It stands up on its own too.
