Phthalate Free
Phthalates are found in toys, electronics, personal care products, plastic wraps, containers, and more. These petroleum based chemicals help soften plastics, and bind fragrances to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other personal care products. Phthalates are are not chemically bound, meaning they can easily get released into the air, water, or your body, just by using the products as intended. Phthalates have been found to disrupt the endocrine system, which can cause reproductive damage, hormonal imbalances, infertility, mood changes, metabolism changes, and more.

Overall great product! When it arrived the bottom was stuck to the top portion, but with a quick google online it was clear that a dip in hot water would fix the issue and I haven’t had a single issue since 🙂
The bottom and the top portion seal really well

Can the metal parts go in the oven or toaster oven?

Hi Elisa! Stainless steel is oven safe and can be used in a toaster oven at temperatures up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Because metal is conductive, the pieces will get hot, so proceed with caution! 😀

I use this lunchbox nearly every day for my high school lunch. I’m really happy with the amount of food it can hold; it’s just enough to get me through the 7 hour school day. I’m also quite impressed with the silicone lids on this lunchbox. It’s worth mentioning that only the bottom compartment is completely leak-proof thanks to the thin silicon gasket on the base of the top compartment (which stacks to create a tight seal). Because of this, I have noticed that the gasket is more apt to hold onto odors than the other two lids, but these odors are always very faint and clear up easily with a run through the dishwasher. Overall, this is a high-quality lunchbox that I look forward to using for many years.

Question
Sam –
It says medium heat for an oven. Would it handle being used in a microwave?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
EarthHero –
Hi Sam — thanks for your question! Unfortunately, it is best to steer clear of putting any metal in the microwave. Stainless Steel is an especially reflective metal and can amplify the radiation that occurs during the microwaving process. This extra generation of heat can cause the object or food to ignite!

This box is great for a quick snack lunch for a hike or picnic. I like the size and the color. It held up well in my bag and kept my cut up bagel from getting smashed. The clean up nice and hold no odors.
