Stop microfiber pollution at the source with the Guppyfriend Microwaste Washing Bag! According to a study from UCSB, a city the size of Berlin releases a wash-related volume of microfibers equivalent to 500,000 plastic bags... every single day. These plastic fibers from synthetic textiles are consumed by sea life, where they cause countless health problems that ultimately work their way up the food chain. The solution? Stop microfibers while you wash AND protect your clothes from shedding. The GRead Moreuppyfriend is made from untreated polyamide 6.6, which captures microfibers in the washing machine so you can dispose of them properly. Plus, Guppyfriend donates profits to STOP! Micro Waste and the STOP! Plastic Academy non-profits to raise awareness about microplastic pollution and to educate students, adults, and industry partners about the problem. To use: Put synthetic textiles into the Guppyfriend. Do not overfill. Separate colors. Close the Guppyfriend and wash as usual. Take out wet textiles after washing. Remove the released microfibers from the upper corners inside of the Guppyfriend and dispose of properly. Want other ways to reduce microfiber pollution? Best non-filter option for microplastics

As a renter, I am not ready to fuss with a formal microplastics. I bought two guppy bags and a coraball. I strongly recommend the guppy bags over the cora ball. These are huge, sturdy, and I have had no trouble getting my clothes clean. I recommend buying two and splitting your load between them to keep your washer balanced. Very satisfying to put a brand new item of clothing in the bag and pull out chunks of lint from the bag that could’ve been washed into our public water. These have hanging loops and if you put up some hooks you can easily use a few of these as an alternative to a traditional hamper as well.

Genius and affordable compared to other options 😍

This bag was actually a lot larger than I expected and can fit most, if not all, of my synthetics! Then I just put my cotton garments in the same load outside of the bag- it works perfectly! NOTE: Doesn’t seem to work well with my washing machine when I do a load with just the bag. You need other textiles thrown in for it to run properly. Otherwise it’s just banging around in there and throws all the weight off :/

Can’t wait to start seeing results!
