  1. Question

    Henry Rose

I bake my own bread and usually make two loaves at a time. I slice one loaf and freeze it in a gallon plastic bag. I remove slices two at a time. Can I use the beeswax wrap in the same way? Will it accommodate a 900 gm boule-shaped loaf?

Hi Henry! We love to use beeswax wraps for all sorts of foods – bread included! This wrap is 17 x 23. For long-term storage (over a month) we recommend storing the bread differently, however, shorter storage times should keep your bread safely in the freezer. Check out this article for more tips on using these wraps!

I make my own bread, this is the easiest way to store a loaf . It keeps it fresh, out of the air, and is big enough to cover the entire loaf.

    Great for greens

This XL wrap works great to keep many of my greens fresh & from wilting in the fridge. I often wrap 2-3 heads of fresh kale in one & keep my celery & carrots in another. Works great on beet greens too. I’ve found that I need more than 2 for all my large veg. Once the edges get sticky, they work a lot better.

My dad has been making his own bead for as long as I can remember, and he has always kept it in brown paper bags. The bread could hardly make it more than a couple days without getting stale. I got him this for Christmas and he LOVES it. He told me that the bread stays perfect for days! Once I start having the time to make my own bread, I will definitely be buying a wrap for myself.
