Earth Backpack - Sustainable Backpack for School and Everyday use

unfortunately after spending quite a bit on this back pack and hoping it would be a long term solution for our family, the back pack has faded into a very ugly mess. there are splotches of discoloration all over it. have reached out to earth hero with no response. i recommend trying a different color than black!

Forgive my excitement!! I am a devoted 32oz Nalgene water bottle user, and it is so so difficult to find a backpack with a side pocket that’s both large enough inside and tall enough to make sure the bottle doesn’t fall out. This fits the bill perfectly!!! Snug as a bug in a rug. The rest of the pack is pretty cool too and seems very sturdy. I like the simplicity of the design and minimal inside pockets as well.

The shipping and processing was super quick and impressive! In total it took about 3 days. For anyone wondering the size is very similar to a Jansport backpack.

The backpack was originally going to be used for my next college semester but since it came early, I used it for my last day. I love the laptop pocket. I really like how it keeps my notebooks out of the way of my laptop. I don’t have to worry about the notebook covers ruining my laptop case. The backpack is very spacious. I could definitely fit in 3-4 more notebooks in the large pocket. The front pocket I use to keep my chargers/pencil case.

Overall the backpack seems to be well made and sturdy. The thicker straps don’t dig into your shoulders. The metal hardware are strong and seem like they will hold up. I have not gotten the zipper stuck yet. Honestly I think that will won’t be an issue with how well made this is.

My shoulders love it, even when it's packed to the brim. Fit is adjustable. Hope you like yours!

My son is in Kindergarten and his first bag, though a fun space print, was cheap and started shredding and getting holes before the year was half over. This bag seems much more durable and likely will last several years! The canvas is perfect for sewing on custom patches from our travels.

I was exited to get this everyday backpack and I think it’s great; I especially appreciate that although there is only one internal pocket, it’s very spacious and will make traveling with my backpack much easier!

I got this bag for a new backpack in college after my original one got torn, and I could not be happier. I love the color, material, and style of this bad. It's a great size and comfortable to wear. It was so exciting to see that even the strap sliders are metal and not plastic. I highly recommend this bag, especially for college and daily use. I also got the 13" laptop bag which goes perfectly with the backpack.

So awesome! Holds everything I need for school. I was a little worried that the bag has no back or shoulder padding, but that really hasn’t been a problem, it’s really comfortable. The material feels soft, but firm, and the whole thing feels super high quality. I didn’t think it would, but the side pocket fits my 32 oz water bottle! 🫀🫀🎒

I have been so happy with my purchase. It is the best backpack I have ever owned. I was specifically looking for a backpack without any nylon or polyester. It was getting impossible to find and was about to give up until I randomly found this on Google. I bought mine in the periwinkle color and the quality is amazing. The bigger size is perfect for everyday and work use. Fits all my essentials and 2 slots for water bottles. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone considering! Debating if I want to buy another in a different color just in case

I’ve been on the lookout for a sustainable, ethically made backpack for a while now. The Terra Thread backpack came at the right time— it’s exactly what I was looking for! The backpack came in very little packaging (which I love) and feels very quality and sturdy. I can’t wait to use it on campus, I can tell it’ll last me a while. Plus they included a cute pouch in addition to the pack which was a wonderful bonus.

The backpack is very spacious and big enough to fit my (decently sized) laptop. It feels very high quality and is minimalistic yet beautiful. Their tags are printed on recycled paper and even came in plastic free packaging! The fact that they are reasonably priced, sustainable, and ethical means a lot, and I would highly recommend! (They also shipped the day after I ordered, which was amazing)

Backpack itself :
The color is very exactly as pictured. The whole backpack feels super sturdy for the fabric itself to all the buckles and zippers. I love the design of the side water bottle pockets as it’s stays flat against the backpack when not in use so there isn’t a weird gap there. My 14” laptop fits great in the sleeve with extra room in every direction. I will be a college freshman soon and this has more than enough room for what I will carry daily.

This is my replacement from my old (pleather) backpack. I really love that this is 100% cotton, since cotton is so breathable. Very spacious, I like the simple design and color, big bottle holds. My only gripe is a lack of internal organization and the fact that the little pouch inside the large compartment doesn’t zip/close.

Well made, strong, natural materials. Great zipper. It can collect dust, but easy to clean in washing machine.

Amazing bag!! I have used this bag daily for four years and it is still holding strong! My only complaints are the lack of pockets as the small one inside the large compartment is not really functioning(everything falls out). As well as the side pockets are pretty small and do not fit my waterbottle. But overall very happy with this bag because of how long it has lasted me!

I made this bag purchase for a trip to Peru. I wanted a universal personal item sized bag for flights. I ended up taking this on the Inca trail for the four days that I was there. The side pockets are sizable for most water bottles and I didn’t have any issues with the bottles falling out. I love the idea of an organic cotton bag since most backpacks are made of polyester. I kind of found out on this trip there is good reason why. For starters, this backpack was heavier, though it was wearable. The organic cotton basically makes any type of rain a risk factor for your items to get wet, so when you’re traveling in a new place, it is more difficult to predict the weather. Like other reviews mentioned before, it does attract lint easily. I like to wear a lot of natural materials and even my well worn linen shirt started to rub off on the backpack. After my solid two weeks of use, there is a thread that is starting to unravel from the front pocket. The internal pocket in the main compartment holds very little. I only placed my glasses case in there and it dragged down the top of the bag, so it’s better for small items like chapstick and maybe a hand lotion. When I threw it in the wash, the stains that accrued from my trip did not come out but it feels good to be able to wash the bag after such intensive use. I feel like the wear was very similar to my work backpack, which makes me question whether my purchase was really necessary. It just makes it feel like now I have a bunch of different backpacks and none of them are ideal on their own.
