Wrappr
After having her first child, Brittany Trafford, Founder of Wrappr, received tons of adorable and useful presents from family and friends. However, there was just one problem. All of those great gifts were decorated in non-recyclable, non-compostable, bound-for-the-landfill wrapping paper.
Disappointed, Brittany wished there was a better, prettier, and more eco-friendly solution.
Not much later, her brother returned from a trip to Japan and introduced Brittany to an ancient art form known as furoshiki fabric wraps. Commonly used since the 8th century, these wraps were a way of adorning gifts in beautifully decorated and totally reusable fabric. A stark contrast to the single-use and plastic-coated paper we've all grown accustomed to using. Excited and intrigued, Brittany knew she had found the perfect sustainable alternative she had been seeking, and so, just a few weeks after the birth of her daughter, Wrappr was born!
Wrappr's 100% organic cotton fabrics and earth-friendly dyes are not only sustainably-minded (and biodegradable!), but are also absolutely gorgeous. Featuring designs by local Toronto illustrators, graphic designers, and artists, these stylish cloths offer a lovely and eco-friendly flair to gifts of all kinds!
