Mother and daughter team, Jacquie Lewis and Jules Vertrees, have worked together in the gift industry for over 20 years. When Sarah Laping joined, their three-generation, women-owned team really took shape. Verve Culture has chosen the artisan touch over mass produced, basic items. Each of their products is handcrafted to preserve the cultural integrity of each item, supporting traditional production and artisans within different communities. Want to know more about who makes their products? We've got you. For example - each of their blown glass items are made by Javier H. Guiterrez Espinosa and his team in Mexico. When he was 22 years old, he came across a closed glass factory, convincing the owners to reopen it. After a year of work, he was able to pay for the land and factory, leading to his own glass blowing business. His team (including his sons) creates beautiful pieces that serve traditional purposes, while experimenting with new colors and ideas. Each item from Verve has similar story, supporting handmade items and real people.
However, Verve Culture doesn't stop with the people–each item they make is created with the planet in mind. By utilizing materials like recycled aluminum, recycled iron, plant based fibers, organic food ingredients, and recycled hand blown glass, Verve Culture is closing the loop. Reclaimed and recycled materials are key to ensuring minimal impact for each product made.
