Many children across the globe will never receive oral hygiene products, an unfortunate reality that can lead to a variety of health issues like tooth decay, gum disease, or serious infections like Endocarditis. At the same time, our oceans and landfills are being filled with plastic oral hygiene products from the rest of the developed world. In 2013, dentist Noel Abdayem wondered if there was a way to create useful, planet friendly products that give back to communities in need. And so, the Humble Co. was born.
The Humble Co. creates sleek, scandanavian inspired products that are better for the planet, the consumer, and far beyond. Noel Abdayem believes that because he was lucky enough to be born in an affluent part of the world, it's his duty to try to help others who are less fortunate. Through The Humble Co, he also heads a number of initiatives that bring dental care and education to communities in need.

There is no Planet B
The world consumes 3.6 billion toothbrushes every year, and most of these toothbrushes cannot be recycled, ending up in landfills and oceans. The Humble Co. has taken up the fight against this massive and unnecessary use of plastics. Their best selling product, a bamboo based toothbrush, can biodegrade when disposed of correctly! When the bristles get worn out, simply take a pair of pliers, remove the bristles from the end of the handle, and dispose of the bristles in the trash. Then, you can either reuse the handle, or throw it in the compost bin, where it will biodegrade within 6 months!
The Humble Co's entire collection of products utilize similar sustainable materials, from bamboo, to biodegradable cotton, to plant based plastics. Plus, they utilize plastic-free packaging whenever possible, making toothbrush boxes out of recycled paper, and saying no to plastic sleeves and unnecessary plastic add-ons.
In addition to their use of eco-materials, The Humble Co. is FDA approved, meaning that it's safe for you and your loved ones to use. Plus, all Humble. Co products are Vegan, and Cruelty Free, so you can use their products with the peace of mind that no animals were harmed in the process of making them!
The Humble Co. also manages initiatives to create even more good across the globe. A portion of their profits support The Humble Smile Foundation, a coalition of dental professionals and academics committed to providing education and resources to communities where kids are lacking proper oral hygiene. From product donations, to clinical oral procedures, to education and nutrition care, The Humble Smile foundation allows kids to stay in school, stay healthy, and share oral hygiene practices with their families and communities.
