What happens when the period care industry allows toxic plastic products to become status quo? Menstruators suffer the consequences. Yasmeen, the founder of Smartliners, said no more. Tired of infections and at a doctor's recommendation, she set off on a journey to find healthy alternatives. Yasmeen quickly realized the options were limited if she wanted something that was both healthy for people who have periods and good for the environment. So she decided to create her own reusable pad.
After two years of tireless work, she not only founded, created, and patented the brand Smartliners, but also invented a super absorbent material called Smartsorb‚ which is the core component in their reusable pads and daily liners. Smartsorb is made from 100% organic cotton so you won't be seeing, feeling, or smelling any of those harmful chemicals that conventional disposable period products are riddled with. Yasmeen plans to keep developing new products using the Smartsorb technology so that everyone can have a say in choosing healthy, alternative products that make the earth happy too.
