Seek Dry Goods

Who doesn't love the outdoors? Everyone should care about the environment and preserving nature, but outdoor enthusiasts often times lead the way. I mean, you can't explore the wonderful outdoors anymore if they're not taken care of, right? That's where Amanda and Larry McMahon, founders of Seek Dry Goods, found their niche.

After completing the 100-mile Tour du Mont Blanc trek back in July of 2016, they wanted to bring home a new t-shirt but were disappointed to find that there was nothing to buy that was made with the planet in mind. That's when the idea for Seek Dry Goods hit them: the outdoor sportswear market was missing the mark for eco-friendly merchandise that doesn't cost a fortune. It's tough to be outdoor connoisseur when you're wearing clothes that hurt the very places you are trying to protect, so they set out to change that!

The mission of Seek Dry Goods is simple: to provide quality, authentic and responsibly sourced lifestyle goods to our fellow Seekers. What is a Seeker, you may ask? You may very well be one! A Seeker is someone who adores the outdoors and all of its amazing offerings. Being a Seeker means you are never satisfied and you are always looking for your next adventure. Seek adventure

When Seek Dry Goods was in the works, Amanda and Larry knew that they wanted their company to make a positive impact on not only their customers, but also on the landscapes they love to be in. That's why they've partnered with One Percent for the Planet since day one. With this program, they pledge to donate 1% of their sales to support local and national environmental non-profits that give back to our Earth. Seek Dry Goods always uses organic cotton rather than conventional cotton for their products. Why is this important? While conventional cotton uses toxic chemicals in its production process, organic cotton does not. And in a time where toxins make up nearly 16% of the world's insecticides and 7% of pesticides, opting for organic is more important than ever. What's more, organic cotton uses 71% less water and 62% less energy than conventional cotton, minimizing the impact of your favorite stylish tee. They also use recycled polyester in their fabrics, blending it with organic cotton for a super soft feel. Recycled polyester is a more sustainable alternative because it's made from recycled plastic bottles, keeping them out of the landfill and into your closet. Plus, it uses 90% less water and 70% less energy in production when compared to virgin polyester! Well-designed clothing starts with expertly chosen fabrics, and Seek Dry Goods is dedicated to bringing you the lowest impact materials so you can rock their clothes with confidence. Seek Dry Goods didn't stop at just using awesome materials, and giving back to charity. They wanted to get you involved, from start to finish. That's why the inspiration for all their product designs comes from people like you! They draw from stories, pictures and videos shared by Seekers around the world to come up with the best ideas and designs possible. They work with artists around the globe, partnering with people who are passionate about adventure to create exclusive and authentic graphics you're sure to love.
