Where does our creativity go when we enter adulthood? Do we have to let go of childhood musings when we're fully grown-up? What does being grown-up really mean? At the age of eighteen, Yara Kamal realized that her creative self had taken a backseat as she worked to conform to societal demands and outside pressures. Upon noticing the dramatic toll that this attitude had on her mental wellbeing and overall state of happiness, she went full-force into reframing her outlook on life and growing up.
After finding balance within herself, Yara felt pulled to inspire and uplift others. She built Scoria World; a collection of thoughtfully sourced, sustainable yoga mats and accessories that serve as a daily reminder to reset and to return to our imaginative and creative younger selves. With Scoria, adults and children alike are encouraged to embrace a youthful mindset and engage in a playful, exuberant life!
