Province Apothecary

Province Apothecary is the holistic brainchild of Canada native, Julie Clark. Julie has struggled with allergies and eczema for her entire life, but these barriers have only strengthened her passion for skincare and aromatherapy. In 2010, Julie studied Aromatherapy, Holistic Health and Esthetics in Toronto, and loved to experiment with different natural materials and ingredients. Additionally, Julie has always had a passion for the environment and giving back to her community. These interests eventually inspired Julie to begin Province Apothecary. Her business has allowed her to create and sell high quality and natural skin care products, while providing her with a way to give back to the causes that she cares about.

Fast forward to now, Province Apothecary has followed the path that Julie paved for it. Julie is now a certified holistic esthetician and aromatherapist, and Province Apothecary provides in-person skin care treatments at their headquarters in Toronto. In pursuit of creating the best skincare products, Province Apothecary sources the highest quality organic ingredients from all over Canada, such as organic seaweed from Nova Scotia, organic beeswax from Alberta, organic lentil flour from Manitoba, organic raspberry oil + glacial clay from British Columbia and many more. Along with using the best ingredients, Province Apothecary has made it a priority to avoid ingredients such as petroleum, synthetic dyes, GMO's, and other common ingredients that are bad for the health of humans and the environment. Finally, to ensure that Julie has fulfilled all of her dreams, PA donates to local and global organizations to support the farms where their ingredients come from and to do their part in improving the global environment.

Organic Canadian Beauty

Province Apothecary holds the highest standards for quality and community, starting with the ingredients that make up their skincare products. The company sources from local, organic farms in Canada to support the local economy while ensuring the freshest ingredients. Whether its Italian mandarin, Canadian seaweed, organic jojoba oil, or any of their other sustainable ingredients, PA ensures that they are doing good both for your skin and good for the environment. Province Apothecary has even taken the ‘Just Beautiful' pledge to avoid the toxic ten ingredients as specified by the Environmental Defense organization in Canada. Some ingredients on PA's blacklist include petroleum, parabens, synthetic fragrances and ingredients, endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, dyes, alcohol, solvents, pesticides, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), palm oil or derivatives, cosmetic grade ingredients and toxins of any kind. In addition to sourcing local and organic ingredients, Province Apothecary also supports Canadian farms by donating to the Canadian Organic Growers and Canadian Honey Council organizations, helping to support the prosperity of local farms and provide education and leadership in their communities. To take their commitment to charitable giving one step further, Province Apothecary is a part of 1% for the Planet. By pledging to donate 1% of their yearly sales to environmental organizations, they ensure that giving back will always be a part of their business model. Don't want to take our word for it?
