Based out of the breathtaking mountains of Poland, some talented woodworkers realized their entrepreneurial dream! In Podhale, the small town where Oakywood founder Mateusz Haberny grew up, it's a cultural tradition to pass down woodworking skills to younger generations. Mateusz and his brother were perfect examples–from a young age, their father brought them to his woodshop and taught them the tricks of the trade.
In college, Mateusz knew he wanted to own his own business. Since woodworking was both his hobby and a longstanding familial tradition, Mateusz came to an easy decision. Once he drew a sketch of the company's first product, the wooden iPhone docking station, Oakywood was created! With the Haberny brothers' passion for design and woodcrafting, they've built a brand based on their own personal values: modern design, eco-friendly production, and techy products.
After major success with the iPhone docking station, Oakywood was prepared to expand their product line and gain more business. Customers were elated at the quality of the products, how great they look around the house, and their ability to last years. Now Oakywood makes laptop stands, iPhone cases, headphone stands, and even apple watch stands! As they expand to new markets and create new products, Oakywood continues to stay true to their original values.

Carry Nature
Traditional tech accessories are often made of cheap, plastic parts and are built to break easily. Oakywood, on the other hand, creates their products from durable natural materials like wood and cork. Each wood product is carved from FSC certified wood, ensuring responsible forest management that maintains biodiversity and protects natural wildlife habitat. Even the finishes they use are plant based, and you'll never find an Oakywood product covered in toxic chemical lacquer. In addition to the low-impact materials, each product is created by hand, preserving a traditional craft and breaking away from the mass-produced tech space.
But they don't stop there! Oakywood even plants a tree for every purchase, minimzing the overall impact of their wooden products. Through the nonprofit One Tree Planted, Oakywood helps fund reforestation programs in multiple countries, allowing them to forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.
Oakywood is CE certified, meaning that they comply with health, safety, and environmental protection standards in Europe. Their products are also FCC certified, so the electromagnetic interference from the product is below the maximum approved limit. Finally, Okaywood has been RoHS certified, ensuring that the products are free from hazardous substances than can be found in electrical equipment. All of these certifications prove their dedication to the environment and user safety!
