Nourish Organic

When Nourish Organics was founded over a decade ago, the words organic and beauty weren't often seen together. Concerned with the potentially hazardous chemicals that were in traditional beauty products, and by the lack of regulations in the personal care industry, Nourish decided to become pioneers in the organic beauty industry. Fueled by the belief that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it, they set out to create the first line of chemical-free, eco-friendly skincare products.

Nourish was the first beauty company to work directly with the USDA, creating a line of beauty products so pure they could be certified organic under the same rigorous standards that the USDA certifies food with. With that certification in their arsenal, they officially launched Nourish in 2003, and haven't stopped innovating since.

Today, from the Nourish headquarters in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, they continue to create and produce healthy, concern-free, environmentally conscious products that really work, all certified Made in the USA and gluten-free. Nourish your skin with products that are good for you, and good for the Earth.

Making Organic Beauty Mainstream

Nourish knows that what goes into your products is essential. That's why all of their ingredients are USDA-certified organic, going through rigorous third party testing before they make it to your bathroom. That USDA certification ensures all ingredients are also food-grade, meaning they're held to all the same standards as organic produce is, ensuring the purest raw materials available. Plus, they've made almost all of their personal care products vegan, and never test any products on animals in an effort to live in greater harmony with the environment. This cruelty-free initiative extends to all phases of product development, ensuring no animals are harmed by the company, its laboratories, and its suppliers. For most Nourish products, ingredients are sourced from local American organic farmers and producers, with only their Fair Trade Organic Shea Butter coming from independent farmers in Ghana. No matter where the origin of the product is, Nourish is dedicated to fair-trade wages whenever possible, and routinely gives back to the cities they work in. Nourish is here to make a difference, and works closely with and contributes to a number of organizations and charities, including The Women's Center, Association for the Blind, City Rescue Mission, Meals on Wheels, and the Salvation Army. They support youths through the Big Brother/Big Sister program, and regularly donate surplus materials and products to World Vision. They also contribute towards overseas US military personnel, as well as aiding those affected by the 2010 Haitian earthquake.
