After leaving her corporate life to focus on growing her family, her mornings were spent making and packing healthy lunches for her kids‚ in plastic containers. Knowing that these chemicals could leach into her childrens' food, she knew she had to find a better option.

How is Frego different? Frego glass food storage containers are made from borosilicate glass, unlike the regular plastic food storage containers that are made from petroleum. The glass won't leach chemicals into your food, and is far more durable than plastic options. Most plastic containers are commonly single use, or simply don't last more than a few uses. According to Columbia University, only around 9% of plastic food storage containers are even recycled!
Borosilicate glass has traditionally been used in laboratories and wine tastings due to the fact that it doesn't absorb or release chemicals. It has extremely low solubility, which keeps your food free from contamination, and it can withstand double the amount of temperature changes than regular glass. Since they're so durable, Frego's containers can last decades if not an entire lifetime, which means less waste for the planet and more cash in your wallet!
