FinalStraw
FinalStraw started in October 2017 from a pretty big idea — what if we could permanently end our use of single use plastic straws? Sure, there were other reusable alternatives on the market, but the designs don't work for every active lifestyle. Co-Founders Emma Rose Cohen and Miles Pepper wanted to change the reusable straw game for good by creating an easy, portable solution.
Emma, equipped with a masters degree in environmental management and sustainability from Harvard, as well as years of experience reducing lab waste at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, had hands-on experience in solving pollution problems. And Miles, a cinematographer and problem solver, brought his unique vision to life through developing the groundbreaking FinalStraw design.
After launching a kickstarter campaign that quickly raised 1.89 million dollars, they knew they were onto something big. By providing a practical reusable solution to a global problem, FinalStraw won over environmentalists worldwide. Plus, they don't plan to stop there. Their company mission is to continue designing badass, responsibly made, reusable products that help consumers change their buying habits and bring awareness to environmental issues.

The World's Most Bad*ss Straw
Americans use enough straws to wrap around the Earth 2.5 times per DAY. These straws are so lightweight that they easily blow away from landfills and end up in our waterways, affecting marine ecosystems, as well as any species that rely on them (Hint: humans!).
FinalStraw is dedicated to not only making products that can reduce waste, but also using sustainable materials to make them! Each FinalStraw is made with stainless steel, food-grade silicone, and a recycled plastic carrying case. In order to close the loop even further, FinalStraw will take back any of their used straws to ensure that each material gets recycled properly.
