seems more like lipstick? and brighter than photo

I was looking for something I could draw a good line with and to give some staying power to my lip color. But this pencil had a thicker tip and was softer than expected, so it doesn't really do either too much better than lipstick. I also thought the color had a little more brown/mauve in it from the photo, but it's a pretty bright, darkish red. Finally, the plastic cover was cracked (almost?) immediately. It may have been broken when I got it and didn't notice. If not, it takes no pressure to break because I noticed it was cracked after just unpacking and trying it once and before putting it back down. Either way, I only bought a product w/a plastic cover because I cannot find a single lip pencil w/o it anywhere. And in retrospect I regret doing so and not just living without.
