An ordinary purchase with an extraordinary purpose. Conscious Step isn't just in the business of making fun and exciting socks (which they do well) they're in the business of changing our world for the better. How, you ask? Well, it all started back in 2013.
Frustrated by the lack of awareness around major environmental and social issues, Conscious Step co-founders Hassan Ahmad, Preshant Mehta, and Adam Long came together to create a simple, tangible, yet effective solution that could get people involved in world-changing nonprofits. They knew that there were some seriously impactful organizations out there tackling major issues like deforestation, biodiversity, and social rights to name a few but didn't know how to bring them to people in a way that felt both easy to understand, but also accessible for all.
Suddenly, the idea came to them: socks! Not only does everyone love fun, cute socks but they're super giftable, which means the power of these nonprofits could be shared with friends and family alike. And so Conscious Step was born! Each pair of their eco-friendly socks donate $1 towards a different world-changing nonprofit, plus they're made from ethical materials with fair labor and wages.
Conscious Step believes that we are all able to play a part in making our world a better place — one step at a time.
