ChicoBag

ChicoBag began when founder Andy Keller visited his local landfill and noticed that it was flooded with plastic bags. As he continued to look around his community, plastic bags were littered everywhere‚ so he vowed to give up using single-use plastic bags for good. In 2004, he bought a used sewing machine and created his first reusable bag, leading to the creation of ChicoBag. From backpacks to grocery bags, ChicoBag makes bagging the single-use habit easy with their durable, stylish, rePETe fabric! Join the movement to bag the single use habit!

Bagging the Single-Use-Habit

ChicoBag is on a mission to end the reliance on single-use plastic bags. By creating reusable products made from recycled materials, they're doing their part to promote a sustainable lifestyle. Since their creation, ChicoBag has helped over 1.8 million people reduce their use of disposable plastic bags, which has saved approximately 779 million plastic bags from entering the landfill. ChicoBag makes bagging the single-use habit easy. ChicoBag not only puts an emphasis on reducing plastic use, they also aim to create new products out of plastic waste. One of their signature fabrics, rePETe, transforms water bottles into a usable, durable fabric. They also utilize natural, sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton and hemp to create their sustainable lifestyle products. From produce bags and snack packs, to shopping bags and backpacks, ChicoBag has what you need. As a fellow B Corp, ChicoBag has committed to uphold some of the most rigorous standards for social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. They're also Climate Neutral Certified, meaning they've undergone an extensive process of measuring and offsetting their overall footprint to achieve net-zero (or better) carbon emissions!
