Growing up with 3 dogs and 3 cats of her own, Shannon loved animals from an early age. So much so that her vegan lifestyle evolved from volunteering at local animal shelters in her downtime to then pursuing a degree in biochemistry. Still, Shannon couldn't shake the feeling that there should be options for pets to get the nutrition they need - without harming other animals.
With Shannon's background in biochemistry and a passion for eliminating harm to animals, the Because, Animals product line of pet treats and supplements was born! Because, Animals was started to be the solution to the negative impacts of the meat industry by providing a nutritious, cruelty-free option for cats and dogs to enjoy.
