From the Earth. For the Earth. Towels That Give Back.
Before founding Anact, Brianna Kilcullen spent years working in sustainability at some of the world's biggest apparel brands — prAna, Columbia Sportswear, and Under Armour, where she was the company's first-ever full-time sustainability employee. She traveled to factories on nearly every continent, witnessed firsthand the environmental and social toll of the textile industry, and knew something had to change.
In 2019, while launching Anact, Brianna helped legalize hemp in Florida — because she believed in the plant that deeply. After wear-testing every towel on the market, she set out to create the most eco-friendly, mildew-free, durable, and absorbent towel possible. The result: a 55% Hemp, 45% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton blend that is free from synthetic dyes, harsh chemicals, and plastic-based fibers — and designed with end of life in mind, so it can be composted or recycled when its days are done.
The textile industry is one of the biggest contributors to the climate crisis. Anact's act is to change that — through natural plant fibers, innovative supply chains built close to the markets they serve, and products that prove sustainability and quality can coexist. As Brianna puts it: Patagonia should be the rule, not the exception.
