As a kid growing up in the suburbs, Alpine Provisions Founder Joshua Scott Onysko, never felt like he really fit in. So when he was 16, he dropped out of school, bought a 1973 VW camper, and moved to Vermont. Arriving at the peak of Autumn, Joshua found himself amongst the golden trees and in the crisp mountain air. Finally, he was where he belonged. From then on, Joshua has worked to share the experience of the outdoors with everyone, no matter how far from the mountains they might be.
In 2018, Joshua started Alpine Provisions, a plastic-free and organic personal care line, as a way to use business to create positive social and environmental change. He knew he wanted to share the beauty of nature with everyone, particularly those who have historically been unable to access it, so he established the Alpine Provisions Scholarship Fund. This fund supports the Outward Bound Leadership program and provides three-week-long wilderness adventures for disadvantaged youth. Alpine Provisions believe that for future generations to understand and respect nature, they must first be able to witness the life-shaping perspective of being immersed in the mountains, forests, and untamed wilderness of the planet. By giving the gift of the outdoors to the youth of today, we can help inspire them into becoming conscious leaders of the future. Nature is infused into every aspect and ingredient of Alpine Provisions' products, always staying true and respectful to people, planet, and purity.
