Tinted Vegan Lip Balm

I love the rose gold and rouge. They are super hydrating with a beautiful pigment. It’s not too sheer, but also not too strong of a color. I even like to use some on my cheeks as a blush!

I bought this and tried it today. First off, felt very moisturizing and I did notice a tiny bit of color but not enough to feel super thrilled with this product ( I know it is a tint but still didn't feel like it cut it). Also, the size was a tad disappointing. Not sure what I expected, but it is about 2 and a half inches tall and a dime wide. I'm also concerned about it melting when I travel. Really don't know that it's going to end up being worth the price.

Bought in the color Rose Gold, evens out the color very well, and feels nice and hydrating! The scent/flavour is a bit odd at first but wasn't bad enough to stop using and I quickly got used to it. Really nice for a natural, subtle tint of color to your lips. I love how much more compact it is than my previous 28oz lip balms, despite still being at 28oz itself (see photo for reference.)

First I wanna say that the color is great. It's sheer, buildable and adds just enough color to my lips. That said, it's really hard and little blobs of the coco butter (I think? right?) have congealed in the lip balm and you can see them in the surface. I have to warm it up on my palm before it'll rub onto my lips. So it doesn't feel great and it looks kind of gross, I wouldn't want to let a friend use it because of how it looks.

I’m continually trying new products from ZWS. I have favorites (chatcoal floss, lotion bar, lip tint, and many more). This Christmas I ordered some new ones (deodorant bar, a salve for hard working hands) and these haven’t been tried yet (they will be in the Christmas stockings). I’m sure they’ll be great.

I love that there is no plastic! The cardboard tube works just fine and the lip balm feels really nice. I do not like the sand color that I chose though. I just wanted a neutral tone but this washes out the color of my natural lips making them look very pale. It works okay over the top of a long lasting liquid lip color.

Bought is Pomegranate shade and am very pleased by all aspects. The color is light but noticeable, the formula is less smooth than petroleum based slicks (ick?) but by no means dehydrating. Packing is perfect and sturdy. I look forward to purchasing other vegan options as fall approaches and I need moisture with a fun pop of color. Another ZWS win

Love the color!!!! Consistency dries out after opening a few times, but when you push the tube up and get the lipstick that was in it its moisturizing.

This lip balm is okay, and I really appreciate the eco-friendly packaging, but it is not moisturizing enough for me. The color is very subtle.

This balm used to be the best plastic-free, tinted balm. I'd been buying it for years, usually buying multiple at a time. It was so hydrating and had the best balance of pigment.

In the last 6 months +/- they've changed their formulation. It now smells strongly like gasoline, has a stiff texture, and chemical flavor.

I used to use this balm every day, so the change has been extremely noticeable. And nothing else has been as good. Here's hoping others speak up so that they go back to making it as they used to.

I love this lip balm. I bought a different shade this time and I love them both. The packaging is a major selling point for me.

This lip balm goes on so smoothly for me--you don't need much--and it's just slightly tinted--perfect for every day! No plastic container!

I like these lip balms, but I must admit that I have incredibly fat fingertips and so pushing the balm up is problematic for me! The Fig color is a nice natural shade, and the Sand is very light, almost white.

I am very happy to find a very good, long lasting lip balm that doesn’t come in plastic.

I was excited to try this..I have very dry lips. The color was nice but not enough moisturization for me

Great lip balm, but the product is a bit small for the price. I would consider it more of a "travel-sized" tube. But I appreciate the compostable packaging.

I love the color of this tinted lip balm, but for some reason certain parts of the lip balm melt sooner than others, creating a slightly bumpy surface. Not a big deal, but not my fav. Also, the stick has a larger circumference than standard lip balms - you get more balm for your money, but I find it a tiny bit awkward. Love the zero-waste packaging.

I bought this lip balm on a whim last year. It is very pleasant and lasts a long time. When I purchased it, I thought the size would be bigger (I didn't check the size properly...) but it ended up lasting for a while, so I'm happy anyway.

Very subtle bit of color to this, very moisturizing. Love the compostable paper tube I do not detect any sort of a taste, good or bad with River organics, lip, balms, which I like. They have replaced lipstick in my routine.

I love the packaging, the color (rouge) and feel, but I do wish it had a different sent or taste? I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s not bad enough to stop using. I saw some reviews saying the tint doesn’t show, but I think it does!

I love the eco-friendly packaging on this lip balm. Itapplies a little bit 'chunky', but soon smooths out with your body heat. I do seem to be going through it quickly, although I have been reaching for it nightly.

Bought this for the packaging but must have received an old one or a dud. The texture is grainy and feels like applying exfoliant to my lips. I thought maybe it would start to smooth out as itmelts on my lips but does not. Instructions say to store in a cool dry place which it is so I figure its a faulty product

this lip balm is great! it smells like tea leaves, which i like. i love the biodegradable container! there's not a very pigmented tint, but i like that and i like that it's all natural. definitely get one!!

Rogue might appear to be a deep dramatic red, but it isn’t dramatic at all! Use this to give your lips some natural looking color on a light makeup day

Love this lip balm, great way to reduce waste. No grainy or gross taste or texture. Amazing product, our family loves it

I am pleased with this product. Nice application with a natural subtle look. Moisturizes well. So great it is plastic free! Will purchase again.
